Also, the light is incredible in this shot, rather warm and a little yellow. Makes me wish I was there, just for the sun. Is Spain this hot?

the first photo is pure fashion.
high waisted trousers.
silk cummerbund/leather harness
perfect white ruffled shirt with detailing that is not seen anymore.

so many designers have 'borrowed' from this look.

early 1990's references:
gigli high waisted trousers.
versace leather harness.
touches of chanel in that ruffled shirt...and hermes in that silk cummerbund.

didn't linda evangelista do an editorial spread once, dressed as a toreador/matador?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:48 PM) :

Well, what can I say, the pics are beyond beautiful... to those who say this captures the essence of Spain.. I wouldn´t say that much, I´m from northern Spain and there isn´t a strong bullfighting tradition but it´s more of a celtic culture...I don´t like bullfightinng, I think it´s cruel, but what I always notice is that ther´s always a chance for Anglosaxons to show their so-called "superior morality", would they say so if it was part of their tradition?( and I say it again I hate bullfighting), I´m so fed up with stereotypes.. and no, Spain is cold in winter, actually it´s snowing today here in Madrid.
But anyways good work Scott.

Those images are just wonderful and show the beauty of one person and the talent of the photographer.

Please do not think that is Spain.
