Blogger Eh said ... (11:46 AM) :

Sometimes I wish you would ask people to put out their cigarettes before taking the photos. I just find that terribly distracting, and it makes it hard for me to really get excited about a person's look. Just a suggestion, I understand if it's not gonna happen.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 PM) :

The combination of this gentleman's extreme sex appeal, his handsome face, and his beautiful smile is what make his whole look work. Oh, BTW, the beautiful scarf actually adds to his masculinity rather than dimishes it. For a man to wear an accessory that could make him look effeminate, his scarf makes him look sexier. OMG, I forgot, nice booty to boot!

Blogger CaliforniaCandy said ... (12:21 PM) :

Great scarf, but the smile is even better!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 PM) :

What a handsome man!

He looks so good and selfconfident! A+!!!

Very sexy!

Anonymous Lydia said ... (12:50 PM) :

I think it appeals to me so much because there is a certain contrast: the scarf says he is a tamed gentleman, while the uprolled sleeves testify he is a wild carpenter)))I hope he is single. I hope he feels for women) Hop eto run into him on a street.

Thank you, Scott!

Blogger Frozen Fashion said ... (12:54 PM) :

Yes it absolutely does! In many ways... I just can't help myself, this man is very easy on the eyes. Nice...... um smile too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:48 PM) :

he looks like capitaine haddock from tin tin. in a good way.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:59 PM) :

The scarf is a good solution for a low neckline shirt like that, which otherwise might look a bit dull or sluggish.

In fact, the scarf all by itself turns him from a field worker into a man of aristocracy.

(Ok, with a little help from the pants and the watch).

Blogger Fasshionxenophile said ... (2:00 PM) :

That's because it is a great print/pattern and good smile!! ^^

Handsome!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:28 PM) :

The mix of rugged and dapper makes him just plain cool! And he has lovely twinkly eyes, too.

Anonymous Chrisoula said ... (2:29 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:54 PM) :

molto interessante..

ma sono l'unica a commentare in italiano??!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:55 PM) :

I like his attitude, which is the best accessory. The scarf does help though, just loosely tied, silk, instead of the shirt and tie. A renaissance in men's wear?

Anonymous The Serendipitous said ... (3:13 PM) :

Great smile, pullover and watch. Nice gait. So together in style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:15 PM) :

I like his scarf, the way he rolled up his sleeves, his pants, and his smile. Well I like alot of things in this photograph.

But somehow the scarf isn't necessary. The rest of the outfit suggests that it isn't cold over there, but then he decides to throw a scarf around his neck. The scarf and the rest of the outfit is quite contradictory.

Anonymous Benjamin said ... (3:17 PM) :

Great example of how a simple look can be juiced up with just one accessory. Not every guy has that ability though:)

Anonymous fashionsdirtylaundry said ... (3:48 PM) :

You are right, a great example of when an accessory makes the outfit!

Blogger rizomdesigns said ... (4:14 PM) :

the whole look just works beautifully ~ he's kind of "all man" so the femininity of the scarf balances him out perfectly!

Anonymous Marco Nardella said ... (5:04 PM) :

I love this picture: elegant because positive, details without fake attitude, no 'dandysh' pose. Real class. Marco

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:20 PM) :

aaahhhh what a sexy man. the perfect combination of roughness and refinement, laughter and naughtiness....who cares about the scarf.

Blogger Liz S said ... (5:22 PM) :

oh god no--not another cigarette photo.
He is handsome and lean and I adore his beard and moustache but can't help think how much he would smell of stale smoke--a real turnoff. Why do grown men need what really is a dummy, to walk around with? Please men out there, you really don't need that crux!! :) You are all more sexy without.

Anonymous Helen said ... (5:32 PM) :

His greatest accessory is his smile ...and the blue scarf ain't bad either

Anonymous jimjims said ... (5:55 PM) :

rad scarf.

looks a little out of place on this lumberjack though...

Anonymous John Wesley said ... (6:02 PM) :

I love scarves, neckerchiefs, foulards, etc. on men.

And I don't dislike this scarf per se, but it looks like an afterthought, -- or perhaps it's being worn on a dare, and he's just goofing with us. (Definitely does not hang together!)

As for the nasty cigarette habit; Pointless to belabour the issue. That's who he is. Scott is a photojournalist, not a policeman from Dept. of Health & Welfare.

Anonymous Maryanne said ... (7:21 PM) :

je ne sais quoi.

just push up the shirt sleeve, drape this silk scarf and go with the flow.
he's enjoying every minute of it.
and that's what translates..the 'i love life' attitude in this photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:55 PM) :

he's really really sexy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:41 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:12 PM) :

He's really sexy even though he's not classically good looking.

For all those who can't stand seeing a cig, get over it.
Some people smoke. That's life.

This is a fashion blog, not a forum on health or morality.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:47 PM) :

incredibly sexy. new deskptop wallpaper!

Blogger Liz S said ... (5:55 AM) :

Stating the obvious that some people smoke get over it, is not the point.

The trouble is that cigarettes are lately being portrayed as fashion more than they have been the last decade or two and I feel for such an unhealthy habit, responsible blogging shouldn't portray it this way. Certainly when extremely popular blogs such as this one start doing it regularly one wonders what the consequences could be, and cigarette companies would be ecstatic.

But hey, maybe the Sart sees ciggies as fashion statements, which is fine, however, I will also want to talk about them as part of fashion/style, if my comments are able to be accepted this way.
And I still say nothing stylish about a smelly ciggie.

Anonymous Handsome Bob said ... (12:27 PM) :

I'm guessing your pointing to the scarf but what got my attention was the watch first.

Gee, what a natural MAN. My new pin up. I am always complaining about that bearded fellow you feature often. But his guy's beard belongs on him.

He looks wonderful in his scarf and has escaped the twee look that fashionable me often have.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:01 PM) :

I don't know which accessory I prefer, the smoke or the booty ... well, anyone can smoke but the booty, that's got to be genetic

A great shot Scott.

For those that were wondering, the scarf is by Lanvin and not Hermes. I'm fortunate enough to have bought one this week.

It has a silk front and a wool/cashmere lining.

All the best,

Andrew S

Anonymous Lion Tio said ... (9:41 AM) :
