Blogger Jason Laucht said ... (9:49 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 AM) :

You captured his kind demeanor perfectly. The jacket is fantastic, of course, but what makes it so handsome is the man wearing it. Your photographs tell so much more than great clothing, Sart. Thanks.

Blogger Style Scanner said ... (9:51 AM) :

A very relaxed looking Mr Armani.

Blogger Isabella said ... (9:55 AM) :

Blogger Comme Coco said ... (10:03 AM) :

Don't you just love him!

Blogger Gerontius said ... (10:03 AM) :

Could you comment on the fact that, when you photographed Mr Armani before (as reproduced in your book) you said that he would only be photoraphed against a dark background which showed off his white hair. Yet here vhe allows you to photograph him against a pale sky...???

Blogger FEDERICA said ... (10:05 AM) :

King Giorgio.

Anonymous Emma said ... (10:15 AM) :

So lovely to see an unreconstructed face.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:29 AM) :

you're right Scott, he would still look as quietly sophisticated and smart regardless of who it was. it is so refreshing to constantly see well dressed men whenever I visit here! Older gentlemen in particular who still value their appearance as much as they did in their 20's...that really means something special to me. I just sent you a picture into the vintage photo contest of my mother Karina...I hope you enjoy it!
xx

Still as dashing as ever!!!

Blogger davidikus said ... (11:54 AM) :

Great picture - much more interesting than the heavily doctored picture of him where he appears to be far younger than he really is. His fashion is a bit greige for me but he certainly looks great on this picture and he has had the genius to diversify brands, lines - & successfully so!

Congrats.

Anonymous Alec Mode said ... (2:20 PM) :

I have a coat sort of like the one being worn by this classy gent but unfortunately it's from H&M! Though I feel like this guy wouldn't judge me. Nice picture! The glasses are a nice touch.

Blogger Sam said ... (2:23 PM) :

I worked for his company in the late 90's - early 00's. I always admired his class, elegance, and simple style. He looks old here, but still radiates the same classic grace. I may not wear much of his clothes anymore, but I will always be a fan. G-d bless Armani!

Hail to the King! Elegance personified. I have been a fan of his for 3 decades. His clothes are timeless, almost. The great thing is that you can dress up and/or down, from A/X to Giorgio Armani, and the look is seamless.

And of course. I love what he's wearing.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:39 PM) :

Great man, great gentleman!
I am 63 yo, and I love to dress Armani since the seventies. So it is more than 30 years of admiration.
Was like that when I lived in London, Rome and now back in Rio de Janeiro.
Congratulations Sartorialist,
Congratulations Armani
Keep well!

I like most of the styles posted on this blog, but I'm sorry this is just hideous. The sweater shape isn't too bad but the colors (especially the white pattern) are awful!

Great picture though, and nice pose. I hope I look that good when I'm his age :)
