Great photo. The handle of his bag is awesome. It's in tatters.

Doug!

He is like the father christmas of Ralph Lauren...I work in the Bleecker Street boutiques and his store visits are SO eagerly anticipated. He's truly a legend in the vintage world..brilliant at what he does.

my vintage military watch article was inspired by the man himself:

Blogger Jennifer said ... (7:53 PM) :

I love this man, and all of the photographs you have taken of him, Scott!

He always makes me smile...

...he sort of looks like the lost member of Coldplay in this outfit.

I betcha Coldplay would be a better band if he was indeed a lost member ;)

Always love a man in uniform!

It's Ernest Hemingway's kooky cousin twice removed!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:26 PM) :

completely agree with the Hemingway observation.. I'd love to see what kind of bag/satchel/murse he's got. Or rather, what's IN in...

Kudos for the photograph and bonus points for the gentleman's age and countenance. Other than that, one makes his/her own fashion.

Greetings from London.

I'm not going to lie...I never seem to understand the man who seems slightly unkempt hygienically and yet dresses so well. Someone solve the mystery for me?

I wonder what this fabulously dressed man does all day? He clearly loves it, whatever he is. Such joy!

His double breasted blazer is perfect.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 PM) :

i love people who actually wear their clothing and let it become a part of them. i get so tired of looking at near perfect specimins of human kind in ads. i love seeing what real people do and it inspires me to continue to make my wardrobe a reflection of my personal story.
