green makes a wonderful neutral, and I'm a big fan of it with black.

Blogger Eric said ... (11:04 AM) :

Is the gentleman on top Tobey Maguire? If, so I'm glad to see he has traded in his baggy attire for something more appropriate.

Blogger Ladybird said ... (11:10 AM) :

Green, the stylish way. Subtle and so so chic.

Anonymous Elaine said ... (11:21 AM) :

I especially like the second photo, with the man in the green tee-shirt. He has a wonderful haircut. His pose is great. The sockless shoes are cool. The shadows and the bike make for a wonderful photo!

Blogger Natalie J Monty said ... (11:23 AM) :

Sorry, grean is subtle and chic? Since when? The bottom pic isn't bad, but all green is just a bit too St. Pat's day.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:36 AM) :

love the loose neck and colour of the tee on the second guy.

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (11:47 AM) :

it reminds me of soldiers

Anonymous Emma Howard said ... (11:52 AM) :

Green shirt with black bottoms and bicycle looks so universal, timeless.

LOVE this outfit.

Blogger Rachel @ The Haute Notes said ... (11:52 AM) :

Fabulous! I love green. And the man in the first photo looks great in different green shades.

Blogger m. said ... (11:53 AM) :

the jacket on top looks gorgeus.
I like that kind of green. It looks very maskulin and calm I think.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:58 AM) :

chic and green. love it!

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (12:14 PM) :

I hope every place "goes green"- it's a color which seems to me to have been largely "missing" in fashion for some time. I'd love an olive suit, but haven't seen one in 20 years. It looks good here, particularly the bottom photo.

Blogger Well Done said ... (12:17 PM) :

much better than the guys on the runway.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:28 PM) :

Love the second guy's look, it says chic and relaxed.

Blogger Nicha said ... (12:31 PM) :

I love shades of green for Summer, especially matched with other neutrals.

Blogger pete v said ... (12:34 PM) :

TOP does resemble a st. patricks getup. is he carrying a green-hued photograph?

BOTTOM if dude was wearing socks..... does fashion require sweaty, smelly, uncomfortable feet?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:39 PM) :

Wonderful world of green!

Looks amazing!

Blogger Harsh Sethia said ... (12:49 PM) :

1st photo: I never thought green on green could look so good!
2nd photo: Sigh!! If only my pants fit so well ):

Anonymous gwblack said ... (12:53 PM) :

I'll ever tire of the Persol sunglasses pictured in top photo. Designed 50 years ago, it is one of the few frames that is both iconically timeless and modern.

Anonymous ME said ... (1:30 PM) :

I LOVE GREEN!!!!!! IN ALMOST ALL ITS SHADES.

Blogger Allen - East Hampton said ... (1:33 PM) :

Finally, in pic #2, cropped/fitted pants I could see myself wearing. I've always been a fan of a little green.

Blogger Judith Ross said ... (1:35 PM) :

Thank you for the lovely, Italian eye candy.. From here in Boston where it finally has stopped raining.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:36 PM) :

Guy on top does look like Toby! Both look great. I personally wouldn't ever be decked out in the same color scheme head-to-toe, but it works for these two!

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (1:38 PM) :

Wow. I think I need to go to Milan.

Blogger Noelle + Kendall said ... (1:39 PM) :

We love all the green you've been posting lately

Lovely natural shade of green:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:50 PM) :

First pic: he is Manuel Frei, the editor in chief of GQ Germany, no wonder he's got style!

Blogger seanjonesfoto said ... (2:54 PM) :

the guy in the bottom photo looks super chic... great haircut, excellent choice to go sockless... superb photography as usual...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:21 PM) :

Where do I buy pants cut like in the second photo?

Blogger SallyO said ... (3:34 PM) :

Now I want to eat a bag of Mint Milano cookies.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:39 PM) :

Is the guy on the first Photo Manuell Frei from the german GQ?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 PM) :

I love the dress shoes with no socks! (or perhaps he's wearing below the ankle socks hidden by the shoes?) In any case, I think its a nice way to transition black, dressy shoes for a casual summer day. If only guys in the US would dress like this...so timeless, effortless and chic!

Anonymous sabrinna said ... (3:53 PM) :

sooooo stylish... i just love the sunglasses, it's like retro chic

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:23 PM) :

yeah I agree with Eric, the fellow in the first picture does look uncannily like Tobey Maguire all spruced up...and the guy with the bike looks a teensy bit like a rugged version of Adam Levine (of Maroon 5), the haircut especially.

Anonymous Sophie, the Barton Girl said ... (4:45 PM) :

Yum twice over!

Blogger Zoe said ... (4:56 PM) :

How strange, I just the past two days decided bottle/racing green is going to be my new fancy, thanks for the confirmation! I like the bike guy. Now thinking about these seasons old green suede Balenciaga shoes I saw in Browns sale store today...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:53 PM) :

Really Superb¡¡¡

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:30 PM) :

...the second guy has a great haircut! and great trousers! and he's handsome! :P
where did you find him? that means, where can I find him? ;)

cool picture, btw, it fairly captures the kind of light Milano has these days.

Anonymous crowsfeet said ... (8:05 PM) :

Flashback to college chemistry! the green suit meant it was Wednesday - every single Wednesday, all semester... at 8:00 am, too! Dr. Mauer's hour of power... Now if this gentleman had taught the class, I'd have brought my cup of coffee and paid attention.

I love the green t-shirt in the second photo, but not nearly as much as I like the twist of the cyclist parked on the bike rack and the bike in the middle of the sidewalk.

Blogger Simo said ... (4:03 AM) :

Its a pity that we cannot see his shoes( the 1st pic)

I will say '' chic et discret '' i love it

Blogger kavitha said ... (4:12 AM) :

oooh.. some stunners you've captured there.. I can't stop drooling

Anonymous Drini said ... (4:23 AM) :

Persol 649, in the first pic, add class.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:59 AM) :

Is the guy in the lower pic wearing loafers?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:33 AM) :

Yes, that´s Manuel Frei from Germany´s
GQ, I worked with him for several years. He´s got style, this is one of his more subdued outfits – check him out with pink socks, green knit tie and brown jacket! Unfortunately, there are few guys in germany who dress that well...

Blogger Gwen said ... (7:15 AM) :

Pleasant scruffiness in the bicycle photo--something eye-catching about rusty bikes! Great clothing choice to cycle around in.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (7:42 AM) :

Have been doing green in my clothes for the last two or three years and it is always amazing how people react to it - they come up and ask where I got the green item I will be wearing, even if they have seen it on me before in another colour. I can never have enough green sweaters or t-shirts and have been searching for the perfect fitted green linen jacket for ages (preferably in moss green)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 AM) :

the guy on top is manuel frei, editor in chief of gq germany.

Blogger Miss Red Socks said ... (9:21 AM) :

Wow, the first guy is really brave to wear so many shades of green but he actually looks pretty nice.

Blogger The Modest Adonis said ... (10:51 AM) :

Toby M and Christopher Bail!!!!

Anonymous Mariana said ... (1:41 PM) :

Great Hardware!

Blogger tom henry said ... (1:45 PM) :

Toby Macguire? More like David Duchovny

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:43 PM) :

First photo:
Who's in the photo I wonder?

Second pic:
I really like that shade of green.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:27 PM) :

How can he not wear socks in heavy shoes?

Anonymous Renee said ... (12:02 AM) :

I too thought that the man at the bottom looks like Adam Levine (sans the tattoos). Love that green color on him- or anywhere. *sigh*

Blogger José Cabral said ... (1:58 AM) :

1st one:

love Mr. Green, its not easy to dress like that and dont get us bored of so much green. (I didnt get bored..)

2nd one:

loved the moment, great photo

Anonymous WILD STREAK said ... (2:49 AM) :

wow the first guy is like a vision!!
i'm going Greeen with ENVY! lol

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 PM) :

I could look at the 2nd one all day! I love the shoes with those pants, but it's true that I wouldn't want him to take them off....

Blogger DENNI said ... (2:39 PM) :

god i love the last one! style in him

Anonymous Philili said ... (4:27 PM) :

the association of the different green on the first picture is sooooo cool!

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:09 PM) :

Love the first guy. Light green is summer classic and the combination is cool. What a man!

Blogger Christina said ... (11:07 AM) :

i'm loving the shades on the first guy!

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:51 PM) :

I'll tell you little secret: this kind of dark olive green always make you looking tan, even you had never seen the sun - good choice for beginning of summer, try it and you will like it.

Blogger Tessies Hearts said ... (6:34 PM) :

him with the bike...very cool, like it a lot

.... does fashion require sweaty, smelly, uncomfortable feet?

small price to pay for such a hot look. Consider the discomfort women endure wearing fashionable shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 AM) :

beautiful light, beautiful shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:22 AM) :

...he's probably calling for a cab...he can no longer walk in those sweaty slippery shoes...but he looks great

Blogger bonneyboys said ... (11:45 AM) :

LOVE the second photo, especially the shoes with no socks. I have a pair from j.crew that I've been wearing for a decade- sockless, except in winter. best look ever.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:31 PM) :

I agree, the no-sock look is great. But vacate the premises once he begins to untie those laces!

Blogger beans and mango said ... (2:52 PM) :

I love the dark green. Always been a favorite.

Blogger frontières sans médecins said ... (5:35 PM) :

I think the t-shirt is standard issue italian army. i once bought a whole stack for $2 each, great cut around the neck and arm. loving the green.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:58 AM) :

A few of us at the office have taken to wearing our shoes sockless this summer. We get kidded all the time about our smelly, sweaty shoes. I guess it's a look that comes with a price. Sure gets alot of attention though. Definitely worth it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:10 PM) :

why do you hate socks so much? Is it terrible in the modern world for a man to cover his ankles?

Blogger Glenn said ... (6:23 PM) :

Top Photo - David Duchovny?

Blogger Oscar said ... (1:18 PM) :

a fan of the guy's style in the second photo. hope it wasnt too hot in milan with the skin on leather, theres a fine line between sacrificing personal hygeine for style.

Blogger Angie said ... (1:30 PM) :

is that toby mcguire and adam levine?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:53 AM) :

That top pic was a very bold attempt. And it seems he pulled it off ok. Must be the sunglasses.

Blogger hayleysherie said ... (3:53 AM) :

i love green. but my mother always told me to never trust a man in a green suit.

Blogger Shadan said ... (9:38 AM) :

Go Green!

Blogger bodo said ... (4:50 AM) :
