I usually like at least 1 structured element in each outfit, but I love that everything is so relaxed here, from the dress, the purse and the shoes- she even manages to wear gladiator shoes without making them look of-the-minute. Jorge from WPB

Blogger doublysweet said ... (10:08 AM) :

i agree with the above statement about the gladiator shoes.
it's really refreshing to see them be used so well.

Blogger The Couturier said ... (10:08 AM) :

i'm not sure i like that bag with the outfit. But her choice of sandals and belt with that dress was a good one. She looks very pensive. But then again, I would be too if I were in Paris right now!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 AM) :

she is incredibly beautiful..could wear a jute sack and would still look splendid.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

Just wow from head to toe.

Blogger James Jean said ... (10:21 AM) :

Simply beautiful. Her dress is fantastic. The belt neither adds to it nor does it take away from it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 AM) :

Nadhera!
Beautiful...graceful and simple, so feminine, so inspiring, so attracting to get closer to her soul.
It's that personality. Her aura.

Pretty dress, I love the print. Overall look is calm and cool, it matches the lovely girl in it.

Blogger Rachel @ The Haute Notes said ... (10:47 AM) :

She looks very casual and relaxed. I love the shoes. Definitely a gorgeous woman.

Blogger Liz said ... (10:48 AM) :

I love the pop of yellow and red in the dress, and her long black hair adds to the relaxed look. sweet!

Blogger J said ... (10:55 AM) :

I have those same shoes! They're from Nine West. I think she looks absolutely gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 AM) :

I recently stayed in the Marais with a school group. Feels great to see photos in a place I remember from recent history.

But to the fashion, what happened with gladiators? I thought they were only going to last for last summer, or is it the economy and people don't want to buy new summer shoes?

http://nevernothingtowear.wordpress.com/

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:00 AM) :

Love the subtle details on the skirt of the dress. The fringe bag is a perfect touch!

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:01 AM) :

GODLIKE

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:01 AM) :

i absolutely love the dress, but i wish it was either shorter or that the she wore it with shoes that exposed more of her foot. sounds weird, but i love that the bag sort of matches her hair.

Blogger raguandroses said ... (11:03 AM) :

I love how her dark features beautifully blend with the kaki dress, enlighted by the summery and delicate prints. I love how the belt naturally matches with the shoes without trying too hard...and the gladiator heels are pure sexiness.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:04 AM) :

Is that a fringe purse?! If it is...again I ask what is so attractive of this fringe style? What is so appealing about it? I love her ensemble! I love how she wears different tones of brown. By the way...I got my new GQ this week and was so happy to see The Sartorialist section of th magazine! I love your pictures!

Blogger lenmeister said ... (11:06 AM) :

Oh wow, yeah. what a hottie. There's actually some contrasting stitching on the dress isn't there? Great visual effect. Open neckline, hmm im loving this. Ther's almost a theme there, but overall, yes HOT

Blogger Montreal Street Views said ... (11:06 AM) :

Stunning.
Perfect!

:--)

Blogger Chanel said ... (11:10 AM) :

Notice how her raven black hair, toenails and smokey eyes are the only things matching her bag?
Terrific details combined with lots of flair!

Blogger Cheryl Cato said ... (11:12 AM) :

Great looking outfit. I love the dress especially!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:13 AM) :

This is perfect (minus gladiators... overkill). Her skin and hair are glowing.

This dress is a miraculous design and would make any woman look & feel beautiful.

I hope this young lady has earned the fashion she wears.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:37 AM) :

Hmmm, I like this from the belt down and the neck up. I mean, she's pulling it off because she's gorgeous...but I think that the dress is totally unflattering. I also hate it when the belt doesn't cover the waist seam. Too many lines cutting across the body. Love the shoes though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:42 AM) :

i love that she is wearing a l.a.m.b. dress and 9 west shoes from last year and they still look lovely and of the moment. it just goes to show it is all in the spirit and attitude!

Blogger Ashley said ... (11:47 AM) :

Wow she is stunning! The dress is a great length and the colors compliment her skin-tone perfectly.

Anonymous style slicker said ... (11:50 AM) :

beautiful shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 AM) :

I can't stop staring at her beautiful hair. And at first I thought the dress was slightly wrinkled, and was surprised by how it didn't look sloppy at all, but on closer inspection, I can see that it's a stitching detail added on purpose. I've never been a huge fan of gladiator sandals, but they look so natural here. It all just looks so effortless!

Also, love the serene expression on her face. What a natural beauty.

Anonymous chris oni said ... (12:03 PM) :

marvelous!

Anonymous Hannah said ... (12:07 PM) :

She's stunning! The colors, shapes... everything about her is perfect.

great shot!!

Anonymous Caroline said ... (12:12 PM) :

Wow...talk, dark, and lovely.

Sart, you sometimes post pictures that are truly inspirational. This is one of them for me. Thank you!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:12 PM) :

I love the contrast between her exotic look, and the lady-like proportions of the dress. She exudes confidence.

Blogger kayang said ... (12:12 PM) :

Oh wowww, she's beautiful.

I kind of agree with what anonymous said up there ^.
The look is great, but it's just not as flattering as it could be.

Blogger junglesiren said ... (12:21 PM) :

On paper I'm not fond of gladiator sandals or of the cut and color of the dress. Not a fan of big skirts passing the knee. HOWEVER in this case the dress actually works without overpowering her. There's something slouchy and uncomplicated about it on her.

She's mucho sexy without being in-your-face about it.

Blogger Melissa Blake said ... (12:38 PM) :

I really, really like that dress! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 PM) :

Pretty Dress & Shoes combo... Wish she subsituted the bag with a big brown clutch...

She looks great, and she has great energy! Pretty dress, and love that she use the gladiators to that kind of dress!

Anonymous Stephanie said ... (1:38 PM) :

I am in love with her outfit. She looks amazing.

Blogger Kwil said ... (1:43 PM) :

Anonymous greendress said ... (2:38 PM) :

WOW!

she is gorgeous and that dress - perfectly coupled with the belt and these gladiator heels- reminds us that women can be just as sexy in LONG, billowy dresses as the short, tight numbers.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:49 PM) :

she looks great without being overdone. effortless. she really pulls off this color well, as i know that i couldnt wear this. love everything, down to the little black toenail polish!

Wow! It has been a long time since I've seen a woman in a long (but not "maxi") dress like this. She looks wonderfully relaxed and elegant. What a nice change from tight and tarty!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:40 PM) :

Oh, she has such a beautiful face and lovely hair as well. The plunge of the neckline probably saves the dress from looking too dowdy but I confess, I would love this far more if the dress were about knee-length. Still, a very beautiful shot.

Have you seen this Scott? I think it'll make you smile:

Oh Sart, it's gorgeous, no doubt, but I miss the elder people, the not-so-beautiful, not-so-pretty-well-in-shape ones. On them, real style is outstanding - on young & beautiful it just fits. So please show us the not-so-gifted-by-nature again!

Blogger brandt said ... (11:40 AM) :

I love how she's fashion forward (bag), and classic (everything else), all at once!
The dress is sexy without showing much of anything. Thank the fitted waist and belt for that. The color and print really work for her, and the high-heeled sandals are perfect.

Blogger hc said ... (11:55 AM) :

it's the small touches that count. the fact that she chose her black bag instead of her brown one tells me she's conscious of over matching with her shoes and belt. smart, relaxed girl here.

I would like to ask you something: how people react when you ask them to take a photo? They simple like it or some of them say: no picture!

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:19 AM) :

This is one of those dresses I'm always afraid would swamp me but the stark contrast of the hair and the bag really tie it together and make it more modern.

Absolutely love the length and shape of the sleeves. How elegant.

The only thing i dislike about this is the fit. I feel like it's a bit too large for her. Giveaways: belt and length of belt. Even if a look is "relaxed" it still has to fit properly.

Another amazing outfit, that dress fits so well with the belt, shoes, and bag. Her dress would have been shapeless otherwise and I compliment her choices.
