Blogger Jazzbuff630 said ... (9:48 AM) :

This man knows how to dress.

I'm printing out this picture, and tacking it to my bulletin board as inspiration. Talk about cutting a bella figura!

Blogger James Jean said ... (9:50 AM) :

This is the way to wear a white suit. Damn Italians, always ahead of the rest.....

Blogger Stephanie Clayton said ... (9:59 AM) :

chic! that is one white suit, perfect in every way.

i can't help but ponder how he'd keep it so bright. i have a white suit...have decided where i live in the islands is impractical for so much white....impossible to keep it staying that fresh-looking.

ok, back to the photo: looking closely, you see his suit isn't perfectly pressed. it may be all white, but it's not too precious. now that is style.

Anonymous WestIndianArchie said ... (10:03 AM) :

"Why don't *most* men dress like this anymore?"

2 Words - BBQ Sauce.

That's got to be a pain to keep clean all day.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 AM) :

I like everything else except that he is showing off his watch. The combination of dark tie and the printed kerchief is brilliant.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:15 AM) :

I want to be where he is. I'm already putting together my fem outfit so we can go out .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:17 AM) :

I'm pretty sure I can stare at this one forever.
Everything literally and absolutely: impeccable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

Its like seersucker in reverse - lovely

Anonymous Madalina Dragoi said ... (10:23 AM) :

Impeccable! Like mens from Monte Carlo:-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:27 AM) :

Far to much effort: The white suit is ok but at least one cuff should be closed to go through. Cuff links are too big and shiny together with a white suit; tie too wide and shirt to dressy for a white cotton (linen?) suit. Type of shirt, tie and cuff links links would go very well with a dark grey woolen suit.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (10:28 AM) :

I'd like to see the details of the pocket square - like the yellow with navy.

Blogger Dennice {Fringe} said ... (10:35 AM) :

Sexy as all get out. Meooow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:37 AM) :

I love this look so much! Every detail is perfection, from the cuff links to the shades. This makes me want to get on a plane to Florence and walk around in white with the carefree Italian attitude seen here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:43 AM) :

this is what we've been missing! so nice to see and elegant gentleman in the sea of hipsters in jeans and such lately. the simple palette combined with the perfect details, the silk square, the knot of the tie, the sleeves turned back just so... he is casual perfection

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 AM) :

Finally, a return to something incredibly useful on this blog.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:57 AM) :

Um-m-m! What delicious style. I wish I could see the details more clearly but I like the turned back jacket cuffs, the nice cuff-links, the watch, and are those stripes on his shirt sleeve? The clothes fit so superbly and he looks so at ease in himself. I think that element of self-possession is important if you are going to put yourself out there to be noticed.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:00 AM) :

Pearlescent, tight look, to say the least. He should be deemed the International Leisure Man. I like it when you take shots of great outfits like this because it creates a sort of suspense--an intense curiosity about what this guy looks like from the knees down (I am curious about his shoe choice). Great taste, less filling--looks that are simple and uncluttered are the best.

Blogger Nan Myers said ... (11:23 AM) :

Blogger Olviya said ... (11:37 AM) :

No doubt the most classy fashionable men are in Florence and also in Parma, Modena, Reggio Emilia...

Blogger Guy said ... (12:15 PM) :

hate to be disagreeable, but i think this is overdone.... the open surgeon cuffs, the bauble cuff links... it just looks like he's trying too hard. the cell phone in his jacket pocket also doesn't work. and i think he's gotten a manicure.

Blogger NVA said ... (12:18 PM) :

his sunglasses is exclusiv...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 PM) :

I never knew Joe Pantoliano was such a stylish cat

Blogger Edward said ... (12:23 PM) :

it makes me sad to know that if I bought everything this guy is wearing, I still could not pull this look off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 PM) :

this outfit speaks style and how suits should be put together (with everything you are wearing considered) I like how everything compliments everything. Shirt, tie, pocket squares, cuffs, cuff links, the watch. I wish i could see the shoes. Everything is so effortless looking but well thought out....

Blogger DENNI said ... (1:13 PM) :

the light in his look is great. love the white suit. he got it!

Anonymous An said ... (1:22 PM) :

I love the color palette! The crisp white with the light blue makes the deep navy and shot of yellow in the pocket square really pop.
I will certainly be adopting this palette for my summer ensembles, even if I am a female.

Blogger Daphne said ... (1:24 PM) :

love!

Blogger Mvelase Peppetta said ... (1:32 PM) :

I'd love to know what shoes he's wearing with that outfit. A white suit always looks great, but the shoes is where I always stumble, white shoes always seem a bit too 80's for my liking, a nice pair of espadrilles picking up on the accent colours can work, but only with certain fabrics. WHAT SHOES!?!?!?!?

Anonymous Gus W said ... (2:42 PM) :

This is one guy who can pull off a white suit, in my opinion. I also like the two button cuffs on the jacket.

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:45 PM) :

AMAZING! Love it!

Anonymous greendress said ... (4:14 PM) :

yes, it might look as if he tried to make this stylish, but isn't that what being stylish is about?

the man is hot. his style is exquisite.

Blogger The Khaki Crusader said ... (4:19 PM) :

god, its great to see a good suit shot again. it's been forever. A summer suit should be casual and this one is fantastic. blue shirt, navy tie, cream/off white/white suit is an absolute knock-out. He keeps it different with that pocket-square. keep these coming

Blogger Eliades Ochoa said ... (4:39 PM) :

Blogger José Cabral said ... (4:47 PM) :

one day i want to be like this gent..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:03 PM) :

Great look!

However, the leopard pocket square heightens his appearance slightly into "greasy old man" instead of ultra-suave middle-aged man. Fine line, and he's dancing right on top of it.

Blogger J. said ... (5:13 PM) :

Classy! His outfit makes me want to be a man...but only for a day. hehe.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:25 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:49 AM) :

He looks amazing. Love his attention to detail.

Blogger Ezra said ... (11:58 AM) :

Blogger Petulia said ... (6:41 PM) :

Florence is great during Pitti. And the more I look at these pictures the more I feel like men have the best option in terms of fabrics and cuts. There is nothing like a perfect suit and a tailor made shirt

Anonymous Le 21ème said ... (2:12 AM) :

It's all in the cuffs! The jacket cuffs unbuttoned, the french-cuffed shirt, amazing cufflinks, and a great watch!

Anonymous DIEGO MONTOYA said ... (5:21 AM) :

Hello,
Great shot ! the guy looks so formal but yet so cool at the same time.
Great cufflinks as well.
I have heard a guy is launching a new brand and starting with cufflinks, made in France ! I would like to get in contact, since I ve heard his line is the ultimate chic and cool!
anybody knows ?

My best

This may sound crazy, but it's dudes like this who make me wish I was balding!

Anonymous sandra said ... (1:26 AM) :

He looks so effortlessly put together and comfortable. everything works from the tie the that amazing pocket square. I wish i could wear all white and be that comfortable but i am clumsy and i know it.

Blogger Nandi said ... (3:16 AM) :

This style is timeless..wow!

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:35 AM) :

elegant till the sleeves' cuffs!!!

Anonymous Designer Clothing said ... (6:34 AM) :

Very nice watch

Anonymous eHaberdasher said ... (10:32 AM) :

A great look that's tough to pull off... my only gripes - the cufflinks are a little bit much for the outift, and it may be better to put whatever he has inside his front right patch pocket and move it to one of the inner breast pockets - it's ruining the line of the jacket and disallows the jacket from hanging and draping nicely.

Note to anyone who will try to mimic this look: 1. Be slim 2. Be tanned 3. Smile and wear with confidence

Anonymous Javi said ... (10:51 AM) :

I am charmed with this photo. This type of photos is really the style that I would like to see in the blog.

Scott, please, do more photos of this type.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:10 PM) :

Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees Lawrence Jamieson here... Smiling becuase he's just gotten rid of Freddy, yes?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:22 PM) :

There's a wondrous interplay at the center of buttons and cufflinks. The watch is a bit much, but otherwise, exceedingly well done.

Anonymous Carolina said ... (6:29 PM) :

I like it!!! I would love to see his shoes, it's so difficult to match a pair with a white suit!!!

Blogger Suhail said ... (12:44 AM) :

Wow what a baller. Must of had excellent lighting to pull that off. Thanks for the great picture.

Blogger James Jean said ... (8:58 AM) :

Carolina @ 6.29. When wearing a white suit, keep it simple. You'll be good to go with black shoes or loafers...but then again, he's Italian, so he can very well be wearing purple loafers hehe

Anonymous Sara Lua said ... (3:52 PM) :

He's excellent. I love his use of a family of blues and the swirly pattern of his handkerchief to his striped shirt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:15 PM) :

stylish man indeed but cuff links plus jacket buttons PLUS Breitling equals confusion. Throws off the simplicity.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 PM) :

I need to meet men who dress like this. As a librarian who wears four inch heels every day, I need the challenge of a man ke that to inspire me to greater efforts.
I have been lonely too long.

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (12:51 PM) :

Details, details! Love the accessories, down to the buttons on the jacket.

Blogger Lance Miller said ... (1:15 PM) :

Great style!! The watch mathes the tie. The pocket square fits the entire outfit! Fantastic suit and great fit too!

Blogger SSSUN said ... (6:49 AM) :

First I thought this guy was my best friend's dad, he wasn't.
This guy got a great sense to match white color, but in over the top!
i love this look

Blogger SequinsandBangles said ... (7:49 AM) :

I love this man's style, so timeless and chic! So effortless too, I love gentleman chic :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:34 AM) :

I love the look. As always, the test for anyone wearing a white suit is whether he looks like he is trying to start his own religion. I think he succeeds nicely. Magnificent.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 AM) :

The man in this picture is napolitan!!!

He is Mr. Tony Rossi. The owner of "Halston" and of "Il Travaso delle idee".
http://www.iltravasodelleidee.com/

A very elegant man.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:56 AM) :

Charm... the only word that occurs me to say... Love the suit, love the tie, love the cufflings...

Blogger DuQuan St. James said ... (10:55 AM) :

This is extremely smooth. Everything is following the rule book, but then he hits you with that unbelievable pocket square, which take the outfit to a whole new level. The high jacket cuffs add modernity to his debonair edge.

I am a big fan, Scott!

Finally, a well dressed man..But I've always been advised by discrete gentlemen never to undo the sleeves' buttons unless one is washing his hands! It's the ultimate show off! One is supposed to know you're wearing bespoke and not being told!
