All black with an almost slightly tribal feel with the fur? or is it woolen trimmings. How FW 09!

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (10:02 AM) :

What amazing layering of textures & shapes, absolutely gorgeous!

Blogger Emm_DF said ... (10:04 AM) :

Beautiful...elegant and sharp...I love it!

Blogger David said ... (10:04 AM) :

Oh yes. Great pins!

Blogger Ladybird said ... (10:31 AM) :

I love the shiny texture against the matt texture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:42 AM) :

Great relaxed chic. Great pose too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:11 AM) :

She is so statesque and such a great clothes hanger...her arms are crossed, contorting her beautiful outfit. She should do something a bit more exciting with her hair and try some groovy earrings and a bit of makeup to complete the looke. Her color scheme, matte black, is perfect for the day. Great shot, Sart.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 AM) :

Very boring. Very.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 AM) :

I guess it's interesting, but the proportions seem so far from reality and her body, that is somewhat bothersome.

Blogger Lexie said ... (11:46 AM) :

is it just me or does she look awfully young?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 AM) :

Well, she def looks graceful.
I like it.

Blogger Jeroen Visser said ... (12:08 PM) :

once again love the depth of field

Blogger Kyah (www.kyahhillis.tumblr.com) said ... (12:10 PM) :

beautiful...love the layers and the length of the dress. Perfect look that goes from day to evening. My kind of look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:11 PM) :

gorgeousness all the wayyyyyyyy

Blogger Kyah (www.kyahhillis.tumblr.com) said ... (12:12 PM) :

great layers and lengths and textures. perfect for day to evening. my kind of look!

Blogger Amra said ... (12:47 PM) :

Think the diffrent textures and all the layering makes the outfit look intresting, and not dull as all-black outfits tend to do sometimes. Like it! ;)
Is she waiting for a cab by any chance?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:51 PM) :

a bike lane in NYC? I wouldn't dare!

Blogger CW said ... (1:00 PM) :

Very nice. The model looks somewhat embarrassed by the attention, as if she was not a professional. That's a good "look" that relates well.

Now please don't again pose anyone in the bike lane or they'll be run over by a messenger or take-out food bicyclist.

Blogger ricardo said ... (1:11 PM) :

She's so pretty to look at.

Blogger xoxorcs said ... (1:12 PM) :

Simply adorable. Audrey Hepburnesque.

Blogger Amanda said ... (1:38 PM) :

fur vest over leather jacket! omg i have to try this look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

Well, its to extravagant, but i think she looks amazing. I love all black looks.

The one thing I'm going to miss about this winter weather come summer - opaque black tights

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:03 PM) :

Great outfit and an adorable girl. She looks like a teenaged Anne Hathaway.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:14 PM) :

i like her face but i'm not really impressed with her silhouette, it's like i've seen it somewhere else before. the furry also doesn't help but still, her legs (and face) look better than most.

Blogger anonwomen said ... (3:41 PM) :

I love the textures and shapes of her look, there is a slightly 'tough' chic, juxtaposed to her simple hair and beautiful fresh face. A really fantastic look! As a general comment I love how black tights in your pics make the girls legs look like strokes from an artists brush.

Blogger Rita said ... (3:55 PM) :

So beautiful! I love that she is not looking straight into the camera, lovely.

Blogger petra said ... (4:01 PM) :

oh i love her! simple elegance, the fur really makes it!

http://youfeelinit.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:12 PM) :

Who IS this girl? She's beautiful. This is definitely not the first time you shot her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:28 PM) :

Finally, a girl on your site who's dressed wonderfully AND beautiful! She's got the whole package. Is she a model?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:53 PM) :

how pretty

Blogger Paolo Manaloto said ... (5:01 PM) :

i love this pic sart.

Blogger xiao said ... (5:28 PM) :

chic!!!

Blogger Jazzbuff630 said ... (6:10 PM) :

A real traffic stopper!

Blogger J. said ... (6:17 PM) :

she can make any outfit look amazing.

Blogger Mai said ... (7:02 PM) :

nice look, i love the almost total black look with some details in another colour.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:05 PM) :

love!

Anonymous Magsli said ... (7:12 PM) :

She looks great and imo the toned down hair and make-up stops this look from looking too eveningy.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (7:42 PM) :

Lovely.

She'll need those taxis with those shoes on.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:01 PM) :

Lovely girl, beautiful smile and great photo. But the outfit doesn't seem quite right, as if she's trying Mom's clothes, it seems to conflict with her youth. Needs some combat boots or something to add a little 'tude.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 PM) :

The whole portrait is so asthetically beautiful

Blogger Nick Leonard said ... (10:22 PM) :

Not only is that an amazing outfit. This photograph was shot perfectly. The composition is wonderful.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:49 PM) :

guess i am in the minority here, and maybe it's that she has her arms crossed, but this get-up makes her appear not even shapeless but rather square. and the shoes appear too steep. she looks rather precariously cantilevered, not graceful or glamorous.

distinctive, but off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:50 PM) :

absolute perfection! i'm saving this in my style file!

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (12:04 AM) :

Who is this girl?

Blogger Cassie Jo - Tofuscloset said ... (12:31 AM) :

lovely legs =)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:50 AM) :

Haha.. I ran into her at Lit!

Blogger cmmcenearney said ... (12:53 AM) :

I recognize her from an earlier post...

Blogger Connie said ... (1:49 AM) :

Love the all black outfit. Fantastic tights and ankle boots.

Blogger blogista said ... (3:36 AM) :

i love the fur trimming! black?! fantastic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 AM) :

ohh i really really like this one...I don't know I really love the tights with those boots.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:41 AM) :

It works. So NY. I love the slightly rough look; it isn't too polished or slick for someone her age. Fantastic shot, interesting how that (Chrysler?) building almost seems to elongate her. The yellow cabs, the fog. Very evocative.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:10 AM) :

more than her look, I absolutely love her face.

Blogger Susie said ... (7:16 AM) :

I'm not a lover of fur but she looks good, fresh, young, engaged. Great legs! Love what I can see of her shoes. Fantastic face. Sadly you need a fur in the east coast lately, where is the warm weather?

Since the website changed I can't get the pictures as big as I use to so I can't see the details as well, (can't make out what is around her neck, or if that is a short coat or long one and I can't see a single detail on the shoe... it use to be the pix when clicked on opened up really big for me... not any more they are now the exact same size when I click on them as they are in the blog. Im on a new iMac just so you know).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:35 AM) :

WOW. Its Grace!!! Shes wearing Tim Hamilton's Fur and Leather Jacket from his debut womenswear line.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 AM) :

OMG -- she is so gorgeous I can can hardly stand it!

But I *am* curious: Is the skirt *cut* so that it drapes interestingly, or is it just having static cling with her tights??

Anonymous Em, 15 years old and pregnant with twins. said ... (8:50 AM) :

Wow.. :) I like it!

Blogger The Rosary said ... (10:14 AM) :

She's awesome !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:14 PM) :

Sart you must live near here as I saw you in the old Barnes & Noble bookstore on 6 Ave. once but was too shy to say hello.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 PM) :

Nice..but perhaps the look is a bit old for her? Am I the only one who thinks so?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:21 PM) :

she has the most beautiful face. I love this outfit. very graceful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:55 PM) :

black done well and wacky. i've seen this before, but it doesn't lose its appeal.

Blogger louise or valentine said ... (3:14 PM) :

stupendous!
i love seeing pictures of fabulous women that would make my head turn and mouth drop open if i were to pass them on the street

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 PM) :

you know, i enjoy all these fashionista photos of late, but i'm missing some of the grittier nyc street fashion photography you used to feature.

Anonymous Catherine like Deneuve said ... (4:47 PM) :

She lives up to her name

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:39 PM) :

absolutely fab♥
i simply love it.
so black, elegant and fine♥

Blogger Valerie said ... (6:09 PM) :

shoes are ferosh.

Anonymous Anna Júlia said ... (6:40 PM) :

Not a fan of her clothes... but I'm in love with her face! So young and pure. Maybe that's why it looks like she's playing dress-up with her mother's clothes. She should be wearing colour!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:10 PM) :

She's very lovely, but, I'm bored with tall, willowy and all in black.

I suppose the 'fashion-types' never are, though? It's an eternal western ideal, at least since, what, the 1920s or so for the willowly. I wonder if it will ever turn?

Blogger Citron confit said ... (9:12 PM) :

beautiful girl

Blogger crazy cat lady said ... (2:55 AM) :

she's so pretty :-)

Anonymous FVAD said ... (9:01 AM) :

LOVELY..she resembles allot a young Turkish Actress caleed Hazal Kaya ..you shall google her sometime :D

Anonymous Sam said ... (9:54 AM) :

I love her she's amazing.

Anonymous M.Saunders said ... (11:28 AM) :

So it's not colourful. It's just one day of life. Let's cut her some slack on the assumptions - maybe she wears colour the other six days of the week.
She looks lovely and engaged. And she is not wearing yoga pants and a t-shirt so that's something to be celebrated.
-M. Saunders

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 PM) :

all black

It's perfect

Anonymous kyman said ... (5:53 PM) :

i agree, very FW 09 - D&G

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:43 PM) :

She looks wonderful, especially with a bright smile on her face.

I admit I'd rather look at someone dressed nicely who's beautiful than someone who's not dressed so nicely and is not so attractive.

That's why this gorgeous girl with a nice smile and polished outfit is not tiresome to me.

Blogger Amy (the b-line) said ... (10:52 PM) :

She looks lovely!

Blogger STEPHANIE said ... (11:53 PM) :

mi piace :)

Anonymous noel said ... (11:57 AM) :

great photo! but i can't seem to take my eyes off of the empire state building at the top. it's subtle but has a strong presence in this photo

Anonymous sheikh savvy said ... (7:19 PM) :

clever title. she looks like grace from carlito's way

Blogger Jenni said ... (9:15 PM) :

She looks too young for the coat -- for the booties, even. But that's what I love about this blog -- you capture the mistakes as well as the coups. Regardless, I like it. It reminds me of when I was young and dreaming of being grown up and elegant.

Blogger Bookworm said ... (9:53 PM) :

Love it! Classic NYC, with the taxis in the background and everything. Edgy but cool!

Blogger The Stylish Wanderer said ... (12:53 AM) :

she looks lovely. can someone tell me who she is?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:27 AM) :

Sorry....way too many knock-kneed / pigeon toed ladies this month.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:26 AM) :

I love her smile and her attitude, straight-forward but laidback at the same time. And the city running behind her...contemporary hyperfeminine and girly shot. love it!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:33 PM) :

I completely agree with M. Sanders. She is beautiful and dressed in a unique spin on a basic winter fashion ensemble. This may be one of my favorite looks.

Blogger Sushi said ... (8:02 AM) :

Lovely photo and great outfit x

Blogger hirshleifer said ... (8:04 AM) :

i would love to know whose jacket she's wearing.
