Have you photographed her before? I recognize that face... green trench coat, black scarf, burgundy wedges, hair tossed over the same shoulder? If not, then it's definitely the same facial expression.

Great synergy of colour: nice melting of "cold" colours and "warm" ones! Interesting the attemp to introduce the black among this universe through the bag, but I would have preferred an elettric blu one, to enhance the cold colours and balance this armony!

Love that jacket. And the color combination/play on color. The color- through the background and its reflection through the subject does well to make the picture a cohesive whole: (that pink on the bag and that awesome bike, the pop of blues/turquoises). <3 Anyone know where the coat is from?

Anonymous Cupcakes said ... (5:36 PM) :

I love hot colours and i like her bas!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 PM) :

As is, this is very cheerful but that's a lot of color to take in. Would a khaki tee quiet the cacophony of color here? ...Yes, a khaki tee and nude shoes IMHO.

Blogger Hickers said ... (6:09 PM) :

Perfect outfit for a sunny spring day. You even managed to get a bike in the background.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:20 PM) :

adorable bag, but overall i'm NOT a fan.

Anonymous emma said ... (6:22 PM) :

i always have a hard time wearing cargos, i always feel too casual wearing them, the only time i've worn my black cargo pants is working on a rebuilding project..even then i felt some how out of place
but she looks fantastic!
i love her jacket
reminds me of a jacket i had when i was young that my aunt made for me

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (6:25 PM) :

Fabulous!

Spring has sprung in NYC!

Blogger E said ... (6:29 PM) :

I am not a big fan of this.

The colour combination of the scarf/ cardigan/ top/ coat is great. But it's let down by the pants which are not a great colour, and are blemished by the unbecoming cargo pockets. I also don't really like sneakers like these, and I think they look like an afterhtought on this outfit.

She herself is gorgeous though, love the facial expression.

Beautiful mix of colors and layers.

Blogger D. said ... (7:13 PM) :

I love the pants (sort of anti-fashion, I guess?) and all the proportions. I wonder if that coat looks as good as that when she's walking somewhere, and also how tall she is to work that.

The clear centerpiece of the pic is her awesome smile and how happy she looks, though! :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:16 PM) :

Love the colors! Her bag is very understated (obviously, because it's black) but it would have been nice if it were a different color or shape to keep up with this extremely colorful outfit. Even so, this is just in time for spring!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:51 PM) :

spring! (smile)

Anonymous aurora said ... (7:55 PM) :

Anonymous a.ellen.j said ... (9:25 PM) :

I can jive with the bold color, but the chunky, black Marc Jacobs bag overpowers the look.

Also, a more finished shoe in a cream tone would be ideal. Maybe a cream and white spectator.

Blogger Michelle Park said ... (9:43 PM) :

Marc Jacobs bag! Not too crazy about the blue scarf, though. Looks too tight...

Blogger J. Rene' said ... (9:49 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:52 PM) :

Ooh pink bike!

What strikes me about this outfit is what I've started noticing about a lot of my cooler weather/freezing-cold-wish-I-was-in-your-Miami-photos-weather outfits is that it looks so much better with the coat and the scarf.

If you took away either one of those elements the outfit doesn't have nearly the same impact.

Take away both the coat and the scarf and the outfit will put you to sleep.

Sometimes I need to be reminded of that. Its like three different outfits to plan for: your inside one; your buttoned up outside one; and this type of look, where the coat is open so you get an outfit defined by the play between the outside and inside layers.

Phew thats a lot of outfit planning.

I always get a bit sad when the best look is # 3, b/c eventually I'll have to take my coat off...

Anonymous KiwiBella said ... (10:12 PM) :

Oh PLEASE tell me she arrived on that beautiful pink bike in the background! That would make the whole thing just PERFECT!
