Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (8:37 AM) :

nice portrait shot..the first one. Love whole body shot too. I like the bracelet, and the length of the wool pant is nice. Her hair is awesome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:58 AM) :

I love how this look is a combination of a chic business woman and an old-world senior citizen. The mix is flawless, with a sort of play on short pants and hour slippers, but a fabulous heathered pant and patterned shoes. i LOVE her cuff, talk about an accessory making an outfit...and i love her hair, it somehow fits the outfit perfectly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:58 AM) :

very beautiful coat

Blogger miss sophie said ... (9:13 AM) :

love the leopard print and colorful bangle accents on the rest of her neutral ensemble. and her smile is infectious!

Blogger J.A.F. said ... (9:22 AM) :

That grey stocking peaking out from the flannel trousers, superb. The bracelet adds nice color.

Blogger JouJou Loves You said ... (9:24 AM) :

Ahh THAT hair: C'est INCROYABLE!!! I love everything about her. Her smile is the best part. She is glowing.

Blogger Hadley Makes said ... (9:47 AM) :

Her bracelet, too! I love that unexpected addition.

She's a gorgeous presence, more than anything else.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:59 AM) :

She has a lovely smile, and I admire her courage to venture out sans a trace of makeup. Alas, the hair is Working Girl circa 1988. Nice cuff on her left arm but for the life of me I can't determine the whereabouts of her lower right arm. She's obviously holding a package in her right hand, but what happened between that hand and her elbow?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 AM) :

This lady is beautiful, her smile with her whole face, eyes and perfect teeth is positively life-enhancing.

Blogger Claudio Moro said ... (10:05 AM) :

Wow. Look at her style! Clear, gentle, elegant. And the bangle: just magic.

Una grande lezione di stile.

oooo, so fresh, effortless & inviting! i think i want to be friends with this woman.

Blogger rvk8 said ... (10:52 AM) :

I LOVE these photographs. There are too many reasons why it's so good - the hair contrasting the jacket, the form of the jacket.. Then the shoes that just pop... I don't know how the Euros do it so much better than, well me at least.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

Pulling a Garance? Hehehe... I like it

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:04 AM) :

That smile, that hair, these shoes !!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:54 AM) :

Ah,

Sander! I mean, Sart, the thing Sander did with that soldier's sleeve--to visually allude to amputation...

I am sure you know what Sanser picture I am referring to.

Out of place with such angel of mercy, but still. How powerful an influence Sander must be on you!

Blogger Don't Be A Hero said ... (3:58 PM) :

she's fabulous, she reminds me of my mother, both utterly fabulous people :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:23 PM) :

Who is she? I see her at the shows all the time.

Blogger B. FLY AND THE CITY said ... (5:00 PM) :

I LIKE HER UNKEPT HAIR. IT CREATES A GOOD JUXTAPOSITION FROM HER PERFECTLY TAILORED ATTIRE.

Blogger Esther Zamorano said ... (5:11 PM) :

She´s very sweet, i like her ballerinas.

Blogger Aline Dahl said ... (6:06 PM) :

wow!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:31 PM) :

Perfect blend of elegance and casualness! The blues and grays in this photo are beautifully austere. The splash of warm yellow added by her hair makes it sublime.

Blogger Jenny said ... (6:32 PM) :

Ah! Another woman with that lovely Gibson Girl bouffant! I must learn how to do this with my hair. Next time you run into that woman in NY, ask her for a tutorial!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:00 PM) :

C'est magnifique...un peu Yves Saint Laurent chic...j'adore

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:28 PM) :

I LOVE her hair. Its so original and creative...no one else could make it look so good. I recognize her from before, but I don't think we've ever seen what's going on in the back? How does she "tie" it up or pull it back?

Blogger What is Reality Anyway? said ... (8:04 PM) :

i love her leopard skimmers, jeeze xx

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:35 PM) :

Your best photo ever!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:10 PM) :

Wonderful shot the first one!

Blogger Littlest Owl said ... (12:46 AM) :

Shes stunning, the smile, the hair, the shapes of her coat and the length of her pants are very daring in my opinion. Reminds me of what Rei Kawakubo of Comme De Garcons would wear herself. Just beautiful. My favorite portrait to date.

Blogger Eff Dee Aytche said ... (1:05 AM) :

love the hair

Blogger roberta jane said ... (1:51 AM) :

What a beautiful face!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:18 AM) :

If the photo was from the knees down and we didnt have her beautiful face to look at, I would swear it was a old lady on the bus. Many of the postings lately have that "too small - wrong size" look. This beauty can carry it off but we average humans would just look wrong.

Blogger TINA said ... (4:02 AM) :

She looks lovely -- the simple clothes juxtaposed with interested cuts and quirky accessories are gorgeous!

And that smile!!! Bella!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:37 AM) :

Surprisingly, no one has said it, but for me the best part is the freckles. I love her hair too, but coming from a person with freckles (not as beautiful as hers) they really make the picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:59 AM) :

That smile pulls together the whole outfit -- and her hair and makeup-less face make it seem so so much cooler, make her style seem innate.
I always wish I felt comfortable going out into the world without makeup, with just a happy glow instead...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:15 AM) :

Adorable, the hair is extraordinary!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 AM) :

This beautiful young woman represents what my mother was talking about when I'd foolishly paint my adolescent face, homogenize myself into a rainbow of acceptable polo shirts and fry my hair straight (or curly, depending on the mood at school) in an attempt to blend in.

The gals out there with unusual features, who let their own unique spunk blossom on their faces and in their style, those are the ones that inherit the earth!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:18 AM) :

bracelet and her smile keep it young and make it work.

Blogger Alicia said ... (10:36 AM) :

I'm with anon that the freckles make the photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 AM) :

The interesting thing is that while she is quite attactive and seems stylish, and has a lovely smile, I cannot really place an age on her. In my opinion she could be in her mid-20's or her late-30's. It is usally easier to pin down a person's age via their face.

Nonetheless she seems to have an appealing sense of style, and me being a sucker for freckles I think that I'm smitten.

And I also find the size of the coat to be interesting and a contrast to the usual tailored look that most when go for.

Cheers!

Blogger Sheil said ... (11:58 AM) :

Can't get over the bracelet, well really all of it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:44 PM) :

and that hair, and those volumes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:06 PM) :

I love the bracelet and the shoes,

Fran Rosa.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 PM) :

I always love when you feature this original woman!

Blogger GZ said ... (1:04 AM) :

Let me be the one to disagree, and say that a wild animal is clearly attacking her feet.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:59 AM) :

beautiful smile<3

Blogger Milo Beloved said ... (4:13 PM) :

She looks like an undercover angel.

It's like she is trying to go undercover.

Beautiful.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:06 AM) :

I love the shape and details of the coat! However, the length of the pants and the shoes bother me...but then again, I was never fond of leopard.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:28 AM) :

And those shoes!!! Love them!!!

Blogger Stegasaurus said ... (6:57 PM) :

I feel like you've shot her before...

Blogger Stegasaurus said ... (6:58 PM) :

I found it in your archives! July 9th 2007; I remember because the hair was so great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 PM) :

She's lovely!

Blogger Charlie Utz said ... (3:15 AM) :

she rules at life

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:42 AM) :

Nice Shoes

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:37 AM) :

She reminds me of Katharine Hepburn. Beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 PM) :

This would be stunning if the jacket cut-off halfway up and she was wearing less trendy shoes.

Blogger Sue | Saras | Sohf Travels said ... (12:42 PM) :

Look at her shoes!!!I love them!!

Blogger rae said ... (1:36 PM) :

That smile?!? How about that hair? Wow!

Blogger JRenee said ... (3:44 PM) :

Who is this woman, you have shot her two or three times before? Are you fast friends now? Does she work in fashion?

Blogger Lia Martins said ... (6:26 PM) :

It seems like if she didn't belong to this world. A bit like Clara del Valle, of Isabel Allende's novel. Her allure is something special.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:37 AM) :

February 19, 2007 as well! :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:39 AM) :

*2008

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:23 PM) :

Amazing hair :) was she photographed by you in feb 2008??

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:05 AM) :

Love the freckles (coming from somebody with moles)

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:49 PM) :

ahha, so monet with the wisp of hair not doing much to cover that first smile. it just brings to mind the painting of his wife and son on a windy hill; her thin veil barely hiding her smile... and those freckles!

Blogger Shoppers Extraordinaire’s said ... (11:25 AM) :

the bracelet looks like a killer

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:07 AM) :

The hair! Why why? the bangle plus mismatching leopard shoes I'm not sold.. sorry.
