love the color of the coat!

Blogger stacy said ... (8:51 AM) :

now this is a fabulous shot!

LOVE the printed scarf on the gentleman in the background.

the depth of field give the photo a whimsical feel.

and, oh - the camel coat is, well, classic.

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (8:52 AM) :

Great picture- perfect example that the main difference between these bespoke and off-the-rack ones are the "just right" fit. Notice it around the waist and all along the sleeves; the arms in this coat are not even particularly high yet there is a clear definition between the sleeves and the torso, which elongates the figure. Great briefcase as well. Jorge from W Palm Beach

Very nice. I like this. i don't like men in coats that come below the knee unless they are a Loden or a fur coat. Interesting suit pants and nice bag too. The gentleman behind sports a cool scarf. Looks like a beautiful morning in Florence!

Blogger One Man's Style said ... (9:02 AM) :

Classic with a modern fit...once again great!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 AM) :

100% class.
He has a vest? Or is that his suit coat?
I also love the '60s hippie psychedelic scarf on the otherwise very staid gentleman just behind him. Wonder what he was up to in 1968 ;)

Blogger Sarah said ... (9:11 AM) :

his bag is beautiful !

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:14 AM) :

God I love this look on a man..it's so classic...

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (9:17 AM) :

Very sharp and clean. I like his entire look.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:19 AM) :

I love the scarf on the guy on the left - superconservative with multicolour paisley - lovely!

Blogger qiwy said ... (9:22 AM) :

ummmmm! Bellisimo!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:29 AM) :

This jacket is so nice I wonder where you can buy it from.

Blogger Romano said ... (9:30 AM) :

Sorry, what's the bag?

Blogger Romano said ... (9:31 AM) :

What's the bag?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:36 AM) :

if the face would have been as elegant as the rest.... this is the classic example where a well dressed man,can turn out to be not elegant, because, elegance cannot be bought!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:38 AM) :

the camel coat is really nice, great cut...but I am more taken by the colorful scarf that the guy behind him is wearing. it's gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 AM) :

What a beautiful coat! Very elegant! Are those trousers black (pinstriped) or gray?

Hope to see you soon in Helsinki, Sart!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

i really like this pic...but there's one thing. the guy w/ that paisley scarf...looks a teeeeny bit feminine 2me...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

LOVED IT.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 AM) :

Best bit for me is the use of a pocket square in the coat breast pocket - if you going to wrap up and hide the suit jacket, why not continue to keep your stylishness visible.

Blogger ricola said ... (9:59 AM) :

Awesome picture, the striped trousers, and camel bag. That coat is perfect. I like how stern the older Italians look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:03 AM) :

the bag is last season tod's.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:26 AM) :

camel coats are such beautiful classic pieces...

Blogger Diana said ... (10:40 AM) :

Is it a similar coat, the older wrestling or box champ wore last week in Firenze, isn´t it??

Off: I saw your picture on the IHT for the Perfect Man Magazine. It is very classy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:49 AM) :

Beautiful classic and I love the added casual bag. The pants and shoes, however, remind me of a chef.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (11:04 AM) :

Superb. Always. The length is perfect too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 AM) :

exactly how I remember the super Italian stylish man! :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:49 AM) :

Finally a somewhat normal looking person.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:14 PM) :

Like someone said earlier, that scarf must have a big value to this guy. It might remind him of his first girlfriend of something like that, and it doesn't matter how it looks. Looks great anyway.

Blogger diane said ... (12:41 PM) :

These guys look so tough*, like the guys in the "Napoleon" shot. I'm loving the scarf, it softens everything.

*some very nice looking gentlemen share this quality of "you-really-don't-want-to-mess-with-me". It's a no-nonsense look without all of the testosterone trimmings. This sounded much better inside my head.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (1:23 PM) :

i want his bag.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:28 PM) :

An earlier poster implied that the man in the camel coat couldn't pull off "elegance" because he has an inelegant face.
The excellent fit of the coat--over what is clearly a well-toned body--suggests to me that he wasn't attempting to give off an air of elegance, but of virility. And he certainly has the face for that. But then I like a man with a certain ruggedness to his face.

Blogger Luvvie said ... (1:30 PM) :

I LOVE the cut, style and color of that coat. That is one well put together man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 PM) :

Sexy!!! this man is hot, elegant is not the point here honey. Every item in his outfit screams the same thing, the boots, the pants, the bag the picking of his gloves in his left pocket, the gold watch!!! He is Mr. Gorgeous. And the guy in back is not doing so bad either for a fun sugar Daddy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:34 PM) :

not the coat - the scarf, look at the scarf of the other gentleman!

Blogger Dominica said ... (3:37 PM) :

Like them both !! The man with the bag has awesome trousers ....his bag is fabulous !
But....the scarf on the 2nd gentleman is amazing !
Totally am in LOVE with it ...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:02 PM) :

i love the scarf on the man behind him!!

Blogger Mohammad said ... (4:50 PM) :

The camel coat looks really good! I never had one but I will as soon as find mine. I curious if will match with long sleeve T-shirt. I'm not fan of Dress Shirt with coat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:21 PM) :

The fit of the pant is outstanding, loving the mix of texture beteween the coat and the clasic pattern of the pants. The handbag should not be ignored...!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:01 PM) :

I hate to picky - ok, I don't - but he's done-up the wrong button. Maybe little details like that don't matter... and maybe they do. For me, it just jars when I look at it.

Blogger lenmeister said ... (6:26 PM) :

Just wow! Im sold, that's it, im getting a camel coat! Another example of how right you were sart, indeed nothing matters more than the fit! For as long as I've seen camel coats here in Nyc, none looked so flawlessly 'chique" on anyone I've seen (maybe not enough for me to have remembered nevertheless). Although this camel coat in picture seems to be a bespoke model, the fit to me is pretty insightful as to how a 1/4 lenght coat should look on someone. I love this to the utmost extent!

Blogger J.A.F. said ... (8:06 PM) :

Are they taught this kind of style from a young age? or is it just an osmotic process.

Blogger Daisy said ... (10:27 PM) :

The cut of the coat makes him look very Dick Tracy...
I like the pinstripe pants.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:30 AM) :

the bag is ORCIANI! it's a "set city" bag!

Blogger STUDIOPHOTO1 said ... (4:08 AM) :

I love the longer comments, especially those from the regulars like Jorge from W Palm Beach and Dan from Richmond. I learn from the pictures and I learn from them.

Blogger Gabriel Bespoke said ... (8:17 AM) :

Let's just say...OMG!!! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:21 AM) :

Not a fan of DB coats but this one work well, i like the pinestripe suit(i suppose) and the bag !
Seems to be confident with himself.

Max

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:14 PM) :

He only has the bottom button of the DB coat buttoned. Is that how they are to be worn?

I always through (perhaps incorrectly) that DB coats were buttoned all the way down.

Blogger SparkleQueen said ... (3:21 PM) :

What a great coat! I liked how he wore them with pinstripe pants too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:58 PM) :

the length of the coat is perfect! Please note the pochette! wearing a pochette with a coat just makes a huge difference. also the length of his pants is super!

Blogger Adam R said ... (5:24 AM) :

Absolutely Fantastic Double Breasted Coat. One of classic and eponymous style.
Very emulative of a traditional english style, especially that of HRH Prince Charles who is often seen wearing a double breasted full length coat in a Tweed.
Although the camel goes extremely well with most things; especially the pinstripe trousers he is wearinng.
Also, very classic ralph lauren image.
But its totally admirable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:52 AM) :

Lovely cut but I think the supporting actor to his right is the real gem of this picture. Beautiful, bold paisley backed by the sky blue striped oxford shirt :) Great worldly swagger, too.

Blogger Remah said ... (2:02 PM) :

I love the cut of his coat. His outfit is quite chic.

I love the scarf from the guy in the back.

ps - he's cute.

Blogger Jay_ said ... (4:01 PM) :

Such a clean outfit!

Blogger Marcellus said ... (1:17 AM) :

Perfectly tailored, clean and simple.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:57 AM) :

nice photos............

Anonymous Sam said ... (5:10 PM) :

I love the entire look. And look at the striped trousers!
I'm not sure but I think he also wears an odd waistcoat. Quite elegant !
