The mixing of two different stripe patterns is genuis. Totally coveting that scarf!

Blogger Gretta said ... (6:28 PM) :

LOVE the fat-stripe scarf with the pinstripe trousers. AbFab.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:22 PM) :

this scarf is great, it completes his outfit. the rolled sleeves add to that friday "cas" look, and the watch is an excellent touch.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:32 PM) :

Wow he looks great. He reminds me of a more polished and stylish version of a Chinese migrant worker.

Blogger NotAppealing said ... (7:46 PM) :

Very interesting texture, there.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:59 PM) :

not that big of a fan.....i dont think i like the scarf underneath his collar...i do like his necklace though....subtle but a stellar finish

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:01 PM) :

Great colours!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:11 PM) :

This is such an effortless and comfortable, yet interesting outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 PM) :

My god this man is beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 PM) :

Brilliant. And what a find!

Blogger junglesiren said ... (9:50 PM) :

You've featured this classy man before I believe. He works it - subtle but not too subtle.

This is a nice look for men and women (those who like to look a bit androgynous) and I'm gonna do my own variation with my old Theory pin striped slacks, Gap cotton shirt and Ed Hardy scarf. Aaaahh, how I love finding new ways to pair old stuff.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 PM) :

love the blue hue. the linen makes the shirt flow, giving him a relaxed look. NICE!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:33 PM) :

ooooh *shivers*. everything about this is amazing. a really great mix of textures and his accessories, (watch, necklace) are spot on.
for me this man is representing whats so awesome about asian style.

Blogger J. said ... (11:41 PM) :

This is a beautifully constructed outfit and I believe that if worn with confidence, it could suit any gender perfectly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:54 PM) :

I love that the pants could be so formal but the shirt breaks it down - loose but NOT baggy, is it linen? The addition of the scarf just seals the deal.

Blogger Sarah said ... (12:46 AM) :

It looks like his wedding ring is on his necklace. I love that. I would love for my husband to wear his ring on his neck. close to his heart.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 AM) :

That scarf looks like vintage gold. I too am coveting.

Blogger ricola said ... (2:11 AM) :

C'est si bon. Brown and Blue again, I'm tell ing you always a winning combo. That shirt looks so supple.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:15 AM) :

Chinese migrant worker? Trying getting some more culture into you "Decreasing" Ignorance. This dude looks completely urban and contemporary, and if you can't help but see derogatory archetypes then perhaps you should browse this blog just a little bit longer.

Now who knows where one can find such an awesome scarf?

i saw him on thedayafteryoudie.blogspot.com

Blogger John and Beatrice said ... (4:19 AM) :

Very effective summer scarfing technique. This look is also functional here in London, where we rarely break through the 25C (77F) temperature level even in August.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (9:08 AM) :

Wow! Love his style! The mixing of colors and stripes! An effortless and amazing outfit!
An inspiration!!!

Blogger The Spicers said ... (9:30 AM) :

Very chic.

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (9:32 AM) :

I'm glad to see how the linen scarf works. I'm contemplating buying (ordering) one so don't have the luxury of trying it first. This looks good with his shirt and the pants are a nice warm contrast.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

This such a wonderful and modern way of dressing. Everything is perfect: texture, color, cut. Great stuff, Sart. Thx

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 AM) :

this is just sooo good!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:50 AM) :

particular chic ^__^

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 AM) :

Hello! You have great blog! Thanks :)

Blogger Ashley Calhoun said ... (11:58 AM) :

i love the scarf

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:30 PM) :

Love it. I get a real Michael Stipe vibe from it -- maybe it's his stance and the way his clothes hang so effortlessly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:04 PM) :

So nice to see a little color without it being over-the-top. I like this man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:09 PM) :

When are you coming to Stockholm?!
We all miss you!

Blogger squajo said ... (3:53 PM) :

I love the way the sleeves are rolled up. Scarf looks like Mark Jacobs.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:19 PM) :

So much better than boring basic black - nice capture.

Blogger Barbara said ... (5:52 PM) :

it's funny how all of this doesn't really go together, but he does it so well.

Blogger FlashBastard said ... (7:17 PM) :

... Looks GREAT to me (and looks Japanese rather than Chinese - if you really feel you must)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:50 PM) :

I wish his pants were a different color, perhaps complementing the cool tones of his wonderful skirt and scarf. I find the warm brown disconcerting.

Blogger Anne Marie said ... (1:00 AM) :

lookin good for an elderly man

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 AM) :

Timesless, effortless and androgynous...

Blogger teach people not books said ... (11:31 AM) :

lurve the scarf. wish it was cool enough here to wear one.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:21 PM) :

I like the look of the scarf but not the pattern - it looks like a table cloth.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:04 PM) :

I would never have guessed that brown pinstriped linen pants could look this cool - what a stylish gentleman

Blogger Char Ruiz Manjarrez said ... (9:06 PM) :

Loved the scarf, he sure knows how to roll his cuffs to perfection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 PM) :

Wow. That is cool!

Blogger miguel loureiro said ... (9:39 PM) :

too fluffy

Blogger jessicawhitley said ... (11:08 PM) :

I love it

Blogger AsianCajuns said ... (11:48 PM) :

I love the way that shirt hangs on him, it's so elegant. I would just look like one giant wrinkled mess if I wore it!

Blogger southerngentinL.A. said ... (3:10 AM) :

Well done!
I'm new to this blog and I must say I miss the east coast. I was in Manhattan last summer and was delighted to see so many people with their own sense of style; men who actually know how a suit is supposed to fit and ladies dressed like ladies, not like Brittany Spears! I live in L.A. where it's $300 jeans and $100 t-shirts everyday.... everywhere!
This gentleman looks as if he never makes an uninspired move.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:06 AM) :

So Sart. . . Are you planning on flying to Beijing to check out some hardcore sportswear attire? You totally should, I know I would if I were you. Please do, this only happens once every 4 years! Bye

wow!!!
you blog is huge with lots of comments, i am sure you have put a great effort in it since 2005, and you are the special ones who mainly focus on menswear~
your blog would be more attractive if you add some description on the reason you pick the look or how you feel about the outfit...
i am also looking forward for more different style of menswear, something more causal...

can you make some comments on my blog also? i would like to hear from a popular blogger^^

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:25 AM) :

I like the combination of the scarf and the shirt. It looks quite nice.

Blogger Miguel said ... (8:50 AM) :

It is a very nice combination... I mean, the brown pants and blue shirt. The sacarf is a well combine accesory too!

The fit of the shirt and pants are perfect in themselves. The combo is good even without the scarf.
