Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

Last nights party was soooo great - thanks to everyone who was there in body or spirit.

It was great to meet so many readers of this blog ( and what a well-dressed crowd!!)

I didn't bring my camera because I was hoping it would be just too crazy to shoot - and it was.

But James Danziger took a few snaps and you can take a look at The Year in Pictures

Congrats, Sart. I hope you liked the case of Moët et Chandon. You are fabulous.

it was quite a crowd! great show.

I agree w/ anon 8:36, I want a BOOK!!! I live in Ohio and while I would die to go see and even be able to buy your prints, I totally can't afford it. Congrats on such a successful opening and may you have many many more!

Awwww. I feel so proud of you somehow. I couldn't be there but I'm so glad it was such a great success. You deserve it!

wow, i got there at 6:15- already packed. I left around 7, there was a line about 200 deep, around the corner! congratulations Scott, great selection of prints as well.

The show was really great and the photographs looked absolutely beautiful, the depth and the detail that seeing them on print brings is amazing. Congratulations on all your success, you surely deserve it.

Hi Sart, it was truly a great experience to see your work hanging on the walls, and to witness the amazing success of your leap from the digital to analog worlds. Thanks for giving us the link to James Danziger's blog and the background to how the show was organized. Many many congratulations! (I'm the nerd-o translating art historian who spoke with you at the beginning of your opening.) It was really very nice to meet you!

Wow. Congratulations!

Scott - Congratulations, indeed. Whatever the art world decides to make of your work, the crowd demonstrates that in the fashion world (especially the "populist" part of it - us) you are a bit of a star. Enjoy it fully - and don't let them spread you too thin now!!

Blogger Sam said ... (12:24 PM) :

I'm glad I got there early. Pleasure to meet you! Congratulations again!

Was knocked back by the queue when i approached the gallery, certainly didn't need to write down the address. Congratulations on an excellent evening, and fantastic work by James Danziger on realising the potential these photo's have in a gallery space.

As a fan of your pics, I was equally impressed by how many people showed up. Talk 'bout clausterphobia! Anyhow, I did enjoy it with my friends and hopefully actually chat with you. Best of luck.

It was great to have met you in person.. finally! I thought the crowd were great, lots of interesting outfits and a lack of snobby attitude as well which was great.. everyone was so friendly!

Exactly, Sart, I was there in spirit. My daughter lives in New York but the line around the corner was so big that she could not talk to you. So: From Europe, Portugal, Lisbon, facing NYC and Danziger Projects Gallery... Congratulations!

Sart -

What do you tell your barber to get that haircut? And what product do you use to slick it?

Thanks!

I was in Milan, but I was definitely there in NYC for your opening in spirit. (Felt rotten that I couldn't go and that it wasn't possible to run in to you in Milan then. I hope there's a next exhibit!)

Tanti auguri!

Got there super early and left super early, just as the lines were wrapping around the block. But I did manage to catch a glimpse of the sart and his lovely family, so jealous of those amazing green eyes!

It was lovely seeing your shots "in real life" so to speak. Also nice to see fellow readers. Hopefully we'll see more of you around these parts.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:38 PM) :

Congratulations!

Sart - My comment is soo belated in coming, but it was great to meet you! And your family is adorable. I really enjoyed talking to both you and James Danziger. You commented on the stylish crowd- we were ALL inspired to dress to the nines because of YOU! Can't wait for the next exhibition!
