everyone says ankle straps give the impression of bigger calves. well i can't see it here - and even if i could, who cares with such pretty glasses and a tiny waist.

Why are the art kids always so cool?
hey sart, dont know if u've done it before; but how about some winter hats stuff? i think women gave up on nice AND warm hats long ago, to show off the hair, maybe? i dont mean the 40s-50s male hats with an androgynous sexiness... i mean some ladies in nice warm hats together with nice hair (like the lady u posted on dec 3rd).
everybody has red ears around me (the netherlands) but no hats--unless they are younger than 15.
The 2nd one actually has the best outfit in my opinion but would it kill to not look like you've just been told you're being kicked out of your house, your Mum has died and you have diabetes all at once?

the girl on the second picture doent look extremely happy to be posing... but she should!! her style is amazing!! i luv the pants, the coat, the belt... everything is genius!

Love outfit number two, especially the shoes which I might just have to search the shops for.
I love the entire outfit for the second photo. The coat is well structured, the shirt's ribbon balances and tames the masculinity, and her haircut adds a nice color to the overall style (probably too heavy if her hair was dark color).
#2 looks so sad that it's kind of unbearable to look at her.
Lady #2 cannot leave one speechless. I love her style. Makes me want to go and buy MJ shoes.
#3's bob is fantastic!

Well , we sure live in a free world.
At least in our part of the world.
When it comes to clothes ,religous symbols and many other things.
That´s a GOOD thing.
As a Christian I don´t mind seeing the cross in unexpected situatons.
But I can think of at least one other religion that would not tolerate it´s symbols being used in such a profane situation as an art exhibition.
By the way: I like the suit the lady is wearing.It looks sharp.the silhouette ads definition and determination to the woman wearing it.I like that. A modern take on what my mother wore in the 1950´s.
Girl 3 is the one I like best.Somehow though her pants seem a bit queer.Are they too large or too long?

#1 BRILLIANT!! The more I look at it the more wonderful it becomes. I love how her shape in the tailored suit is mirrored by that cool project to her right. Rusty cross-like shape is nice. And the rectangle is repeated, flat white on the wall, then in many smaller rectangles on what seems to be another project. I love how this piece adds some interest to the shot too. then in stone and on the floor with tape and everything seems to frame the girl in this shot or lead to her somehow, or relate to her somehow. The angle of the cross and the depth of the room and the foreground with your girl in the center. I want to ask if this was intentional, but as i look at it i think it had to be, right?
#2 great shot too if youre intention was to give me nightmares tonight. Look at her left hand! i am a little scared of her. sorry.
#3 patent bag, patent shoes, i suggest a belt to complete the look. a hem for the pants perhaps, or even better over a tall blonde shoe to match her hair, and hand on the hip pose instead of in the pocket in this instance, just for a little feminine charm.

Love #3. The structure and monotone colour wouldn't be nearly so striking with out that sharp ginger hair. such a smart and confident look.

I love this blog for the street fashion but also for the controversy it stirs up between European and American cultural attitudes-the endless cigarette controversy, the baffled American response to someone who prefers not to grin at the camera...
Very nice shots. I especially like the bottom girl's stance. But the middle girl looks to me like she could use some sleep.

I love all 3! To me these are gorgeous examples of women doing suiting or some version of it very, very well.
They all look feminine: the big struggle for me as a woman is to feel feminine and FEMALE in a suit. I don't like masculine clothing on women and esp. not on myself.
They all look creative, yet still conservative enough for anyone who insists that you wear a suit (I hate being forced to wear suits, can you tell?)
Their personal style comes through loud and clear: this is what I always attempt when putting on my suits, and I hope I pull it off.
They all look very comfortable yet polished.

a. a photograph of someone who will make an iconic image in the near future.
b. a photograph of someone who is an iconic image.
c. an iconic image.

(#2). Key word here is CONVENTIONALLY. This blog is about people who look different and whose looks convey a certain personality. I love the way her coat is slightly ajar and her belt is loose- it makes a structured outfit looser and freer (the skirt also helps).
10:13, if a woman who looks different from the pack makes you 'want to commit suicide', you are missing the point of this blog and style in general.

I have had much milder comments censored - when they have only been slightly critical of a person's clothing. There's a difference.

No. 2 looks particularly art school (I was at art school in the early 80s) in a very stylish way. I love the little-girl-lost look about her, especially with the purple snake on the floor behind her.
