Blogger Ms. Champagne said ... (7:00 PM) :

those lips!
so hard to find the right shade of red... that color matches her skin perfectly

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:08 PM) :

Very Star Wars!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:08 PM) :

Looks like Mary-Kate at a mature age.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:15 PM) :

Chewbacca would like his feet back, please.

Blogger Butch said ... (7:34 PM) :

Can someone be convulsed by fashion? And, if so, is there emergency treatment?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:46 PM) :

Are those dogs sleeping on her shoes?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:13 PM) :

this is why i love new york. but... it's nuts!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:17 PM) :

oh, my - those boots look like shih tzus! a studded collar, a doggy tag, and she's all set. the boots are so much, they take away from the rest of her look, which is okay. if you don't want people looking at your face, this is the footwear for you.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:19 PM) :

ya love this but what in the name of... is the dog hair doing on her shoes?!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:26 PM) :

Glad to read that others posted the same catty, spot-on comments I was thinking. Those shoes are AWFUL, but her lipstick divine.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:39 PM) :

Bride of Big Foot! I love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:52 PM) :

Spawn of Boba Fett and Tikki-Tikki Binwal.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:08 PM) :

yowza! those nails are razor sharp! are her lips red from the blood of her last victim?? now THAT'S what i call "Intimidation of Style." completely menacing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:24 PM) :

I was going to make some sort of smart remark about those awful shoes, but at this point it's sort of superfluous.

Sart, you've been showing a large number of women wearing a combination of a baggy, almost shapeless top, and very tight pants. Is this an 'in' look, or simply something you appreciate? Because to my (amateurish) eye, it gives a sort of unfinished look, as though a head and some legs have decided to form a person, but still haven't found a torso to match.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 PM) :

hmmm, this is what I think Minnie mouse would look like if she were human.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 PM) :

loved it, until we got to the shoes... then we hated it

Blogger Les Enfants du paradis said ... (10:09 PM) :

All I can say is fuck yes. It's so fitting that she's at that show. Love her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 PM) :

Are you kidding me?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 PM) :

wow, i don't get it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 PM) :

regina spektor?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 PM) :

Those boots are not made for walking...they belong in the dog park.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:28 PM) :

Oh come on! She looks like something Dr. Seuss would have written about in one of my children's books:

And when they looked down,
They could not believe it to be true
There they found the Wee-Willy-Gray-Thing-A-Ma-Shoe

If nothing else, the shoes make some kind of artistic statement.
mltt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 PM) :

Funny, just hilarious. Way to go beastfeet! And I mean it too. It's such a send-up of the glamorous woman.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:07 PM) :

those boots...seriously?

Blogger Joan said ... (11:09 PM) :

holy moly her shoes reminds me of characters from Dr. Seuss books!

Blogger Sara said ... (11:14 PM) :

She kind of looks like a chic Death Eater from Lord of the Rings...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:23 PM) :

her feet have turned to schnauzers.
though i do like the red pout & sunglasses.

Blogger Ily said ... (11:29 PM) :

I'm sorry, but those shoes scare the bejesus out of me!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 AM) :

HATE the boots....LOVE everything else

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:35 AM) :

haute drama with the form and color. those shoes remind me of oppenheim's fur-lined teacup. i can't believe she's wearing them on the street - i feel something akin to awe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 AM) :

more like dogs sleeping in dog heaven

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:01 AM) :

Hilarious and fabulous - great photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:08 AM) :

Hahaha.... my god. Is she wearing Shih-Tzu puppies on her feet?

Would I wear this? NO. But I love that she's daring enough to try--the lips, the boots... if no one ever took chances, how boring would that be, eh? The world needs more of this........

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:54 AM) :

Oh come on! You gotta be kidding... who would find this inspiring?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:14 AM) :

Those shoes are hideously ridiculous. Its a shame because the rest of the outfit is very chic, I love the huge hood. But those tiny dogs on her feet...just make me wonder..

Blogger maija said ... (2:17 AM) :

the "yippy-annoying dog" look should never be made appropriate for footwear, this is to fine of a field for something so horrendous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:28 AM) :

hahaha woah. i admire a person that can just walk out the street with long fur boots.

Blogger Babydoll said ... (2:33 AM) :

I love the yeti boots.
For some odd reason they seem to be something an ice princess would rock with nylon white leggings...very futuristic.

Blogger Blaise said ... (2:51 AM) :

Her boots look like terriers..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:54 AM) :

The Grinch who stole Halloween!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:08 AM) :

very, very ugly shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:15 AM) :

Those shoes obviously take a lot of confidence to wear.

Is anyone missing a yorkshire terrier? I think I know what happened to it.............................

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:41 AM) :

I want her outfit, except those...things (?) on her feet

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:51 AM) :

haha i am LOVING the shoes. they are so wrong they are right. and she pulls them off perfectly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:55 AM) :

those SHOES... wow...

Blogger Ryfka said ... (5:21 AM) :

Interesting shoes. Thank God it's not raining.

Blogger Laurence John said ... (7:18 AM) :

sometimes i can't tell if you photograph someone because you genuinely like the outfit, or just because they look a bit wacky and will lead to discussion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:20 AM) :

oh I dunno....in a few years perhaps..when she's looking back at snaps..."my god, what the hell was I thinking!!!"...and at the same time...bravo! maybe it's more a case of "I wouldn't go down that path" :-)

isn't it a joy to open the page and ...there it is...the photo of the day...that takes us to elsewhere....love it...thanks sooooo much dear Sart!

Blogger Sherman said ... (8:34 AM) :

Love the boots, care not a whit for everything else.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:48 AM) :

She looks gorgeous, this woman. And so what, her shoes are different, but can't anyone see that they are completely on purpose. She's got a hundred pairs of shoes in her cupboard, but just ti be fun and laugh at herself, she wore those. I love her and she looks sensational, and an mazing picture as well.

Blogger pearlaceous said ... (9:14 AM) :

Her nails, black hood, and red lips are a bit too much for my taste, but her dress is lovely, love the bubble pleated hem! And those boots make great snow boots

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 AM) :

Luke Skywalker ... I am your father. And by the way, I think I just stepped on a Wookie...

However, somehow, I kind of like it!

I actually admire the lady's strong look and I love the fur-topped short boots, though I think they're perhaps the wrong colour. I think they would be better done in that deep red black-tipped fox (as seen on McQueen and Dior's runways) to complete the 'high-fashion nazghul' look she has otherwise nailed perfectly.

Whatever else one may say about this picture, there is no question that the lady has a deliberate and calculated style. Whether executed with irony or not (though it is hard to imagine her not laughing up her black leather sleeves), the look successfully sends up the character of the modern urban-dwelling soul-sucker, complete with blood-red lips and dangerous claws clutching a tiny mobile phone. It's very like what we might see if someone were to give Pat Field a horror movie to style.

Costumey, yes. Inspiring for 'normal' women, perhaps not. But it's good to see someone having fun with fashion without resorting to the merely cutesy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:09 PM) :

Hee hee! The whole look avec footwear makes her look a bit like she's starring as Cruella in a rock opera version of 101 Dalmations. Which I find bizarrely cool and wonderful. :)

I'm actually quite taken with those boots, but I can't imagine the mess they'd be after a few days of wearing them around the city streets. Ick.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:37 PM) :

Those boots. I wonder what the material is. I wouldn't be able to pull it off, but she does.

Blogger Christine said ... (4:59 PM) :

I'm sorry - those little doggies on her feet have to go!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:10 PM) :

No no no, the shoes are freaking gorgeous. And they are what keeps her from looking like any one of the Manolo Blahnik clones that are already waiting in line to see the upcoming Sex and the City movie.

People say they like individualism but think about it... they spit on it when they see it.

Blogger loony lacunae said ... (10:05 PM) :

Wow, those Rick Owens shoes are infinitely scary on and off the runway! The rest of her outfit is nice though -_-

Blogger blyger said ... (1:35 AM) :

I wish I had style! I recognize it when I see it but I am not able to recreate it for myself.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 PM) :

100% brilliant!
this picture is amazing, i want to know everything about this girl. where does she work, has she ever been in a fist fight... what would her friends say about her boots? it doesn't matter, because she wouldn't care, and that is what makes her so enigmatic.
i love her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:22 PM) :

Everyone is certainly talking about the boots... maybe that was her intention.

Blogger pierre said ... (3:46 PM) :

très jolie fille avec ces boots en fourrure

Blogger Anastasia said ... (6:49 PM) :

a little scary, non?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:44 AM) :

Amazing... Just Amazing.
It's like an old stilleben (still life) painting, it is calculated to look random.
Not like the newer "Close-to-colette"-bum, who looks random, without making the outfit look finished.
Truly inspiring.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:30 AM) :

those jolie lips, lord have mercy

Blogger MonaO said ... (5:16 AM) :

Well I'm not so sure about the furry boots! They're funnily out of style so guess it works as an eye-catcher though...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:02 AM) :

god she's fabulous. I love the boots, love even more the fact that she has the chutzpah to wear them

Blogger sunni said ... (10:00 AM) :

to anonymous 10:19

my first thoughts exactly haha. she looks like regina spektor.

and i love the outfit. maybe not the shoes. but it's quite original and a good accessory to add a bit of humour and novelty to her otherwise a little too mod and too cool outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:30 PM) :

I just love her! The lips, the scary nails and the shoes, they complete the look. Wonderful to c some personal style. Why b like everyone you pass by. Learn to stick out and do it in (your own) style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:10 AM) :

I really like her personal style! she is good!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:57 PM) :

The lips, the shoes, the "dress," and everything else...it's all just...dear lord, somebody help this woman.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:32 AM) :

omg a mk olsen wannabe

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:17 PM) :

while this is not something i could pull off in a million years, i love that she is doing it - takings risks and not giving a damn what other think. pure individual style. while most attn is on the lips and booties, i love the hood.

Blogger Blanditiae said ... (5:58 PM) :
