love this look - so fresh and modern, and works so well with her brightly lit face.

Blogger Jennifer said ... (7:30 AM) :

LOVE it. such positive/happy but not hyper/ditzy clothing.

Blogger lucia martinez said ... (7:59 AM) :

I adore the dress and hair--very clara bow meets the Sixties--but the chunky heel will, I'm afraid, never do it for me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:03 AM) :

Phenomenal. She's an ultra modern Louise Brooks

Blogger simplyolive said ... (8:08 AM) :

i love everything about her look!
where can i get that dress??

Blogger Ryfka said ... (8:12 AM) :

I love the way you choose background for your models to highlight the colors.

i think i have a crush on this woman. she's just so... delightful. (and so very marni, which doesn't hurt.)

Blogger The Little Fashion Treasury said ... (8:19 AM) :

what a cute outfit.
i´m truly a marni addict and love the way she pairs this dress with a grey cardigan and ysl heels.
AWESOME!

Blogger lewehrman said ... (8:41 AM) :

In my dreams, I am dressed like this. Including the hair.

This is good. Very good.

Blogger The Spicers said ... (9:02 AM) :

Marni has mastered the shapeless, but still stylish, dress! She looks comfortable, casual, cool

Blogger pumpkin said ... (9:28 AM) :

a perfect marriage of two just-bold-enough-items with the ideal slouchy cardigan!

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (9:41 AM) :

Wow - fantastic shot! Love all the earth tones. The scale of her shoes are perfect with the geometrics of the dress.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 AM) :

I love that the dress has pockets.

Don't know 'bout the shoes but I like that she looks so décontractée. It's like she's off to buy something for dinner at the farmer's market down the street.

Oh dear, I think I'm projecting.

Sweet dress, sweet shoes and definitely a sweet smile!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 PM) :

beautiful girl beautiful dress

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:54 PM) :

To me, this ensemble encapulates the volume trend by using simultaneously a thick-heeled pump, a full dress, and a long, oversized cardigan. The pattern on the dress is eye catching without being loud.

That being said, what really makes this a great look right now is - surprise! - the woman herself. Her smile and her hair are really lovely.

Blogger Laurem said ... (12:59 PM) :

lovely dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:04 PM) :

she looks adorable! and i am still in awe of how you always manage to tie in the background with the person. apparently i need to start walking around buildings that coordinate with my outfit!

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:10 PM) :

my IDEAL look. Casual, chic, easy to pull together.. amazing..

Blogger RoseAG said ... (2:25 PM) :

Nice shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 PM) :

Cute. She has managed to find clothes that fit her.Nothing about this picture is disturbing.

Blogger Elizabeth said ... (3:12 PM) :

The successful wearing of the sackdress will elude me eternally, but not this lucky soul. It's perfect. So's the hair!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:14 PM) :

This looks so fresh style-wise--the entire outfit. I love the combo of modernist dress with grandpa sweater. And love love love the metallic platforms.
Who wouldn't want to wear these clothes? (She looks pretty happy to be in them!)

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (3:30 PM) :

Marni is well known for its comfortable but yet chic and wearable clothes. This is a perfect example of it. Nothing is overly tight or restricting. The colors and cut are excellent and very contemporary.

Love the shoes too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:34 PM) :

Look at those colors! And the tone. Nothing forces the chic with the fresh... Darling.

Would that cut be called a "hobble skirt"?

it's sort of a Pierrot-Poiret.

Nice YSL Dadas, I love love love those shoes. I haven't worn mine yet this season because they were so iconic last spring, but I think I will have to start wearing them again.

Blogger Blancodeviosa said ... (5:01 PM) :

i love the jacket and the shoes. the dress not so much

Blogger Blaise said ... (9:38 PM) :

I actually think that she's the only one who could pull off such an outfit.. At first look, I immediately realized that it is so her without even knowing her personally.. She looks really at ease and wonderful..

Blogger glaceyeux said ... (10:57 PM) :

i love how shapeless, but sculptural that dress is. paired with those tailored heels... lovely!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:00 AM) :

I'll take that cardigan in a size XS and those shoes in a 6, thank you very much! Also, please throw in a dose of her attitude and beauty, too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:33 AM) :

I love that print. I really wanted the dress Irina was wearing in the runway show.

Blogger hoi polloi said ... (3:27 PM) :

SO cool

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:31 AM) :

great dressn'cardi combo - very modern - perfect haircut too....not to mention the fresh smiling face.
i can see that the shoes work but they don't turn me on. well the heel is great. its the front bit which is frumpy...but then maybe i'm just being grumpy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:42 AM) :

I've always loved those YSL shoes. Wants. The dress is fab too.

Blogger mattie g. said ... (1:41 PM) :

I LOVE HER!!!! The combination of the dress with the cardigan is really challenging, but she pulls it off in spades! I also love the pairing of the dress with the muted metallic sling-backs. In the words of Sandra Bernhard: Simply - PERFECTION.

Blogger ninaberries said ... (12:38 PM) :

this is my favorite silouhette right now -- she's absolutely perfect from head to toe. great shoe, great colors, great smile, darling haircut, a casual ease. perfect.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 AM) :
