On the Street...Dreaming of Chanel, Sodermalm, Stockholm

I love the level of sophistication that the teenagers in Stockholm possess.

that's really impressive. the teens in the states, especially those who claim to be fashion minded, all seem to look the same. i'm wishing now that i had bought stock in abercrombie and fitch 15 years ago.

Blogger Jaci S said ... (10:04 AM) :

I think that they have more sophistication because they probably get to shop at zara and H&M. our teens get abercrombie and old navy. and think paris hilton is fashionable.

Great jacket!

Love it! The black and white and pale skin and red lips is just too cool. Is she rocking Sambas?

Blogger Asi Mod said ... (12:03 PM) :

I love the red lipstick against her fair skin tone. I hope she keeps wearing that color for a long long time.

I don't know if we can speak about sophistication concerning this teen as I think the way she's dressed is quite "too much". But I admit there's a real fashionable research!

I love her white skin, red lips and black hair. She is really beautiful and her style is very 60´s and cool.

When i first saw this, my heart just stopped! Then i read the caption and felt so humbled that this person was only in her teen years. Unless she is like me and passes for being pretty young.

Blogger blushing apples said ... (1:42 PM) :

very tailored. i love the touch of red lipstick.

If that scarf is actually the pale shade of pink that I think it is, then this girl is fashionable beyond her years!

that really was a wonderful outfit, so proud of "my" stockholm! :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:54 PM) :

She's so hot. Her name is Melina and she's a close friend of mine!

Blogger The Spicers said ... (4:07 PM) :

Yes, U.S. teens could certainly take a lesson from the Swedes! (I'm so tired of the ubiquitous tight tee/low-rise jeans combo.) Great lipstick too!

Blogger Laurence John said ... (4:26 PM) :

she is so damn cute.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:20 PM) :

she looks terrific. We have two H&Ms in Boston.

Totally!!
Europe just oozes sophistication...Aussie teens are slaves to fashion, all they wear are skinny skinny jeans, flip flops and tees...boring!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:48 PM) :

I really belives that this girl has her own style and look at her, she´s so pretty and sexy and just like: Urhm!
I love it, just love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 PM) :

Maybe Sydney teenagers dress badly, but I've seen teenagers in Melbourne wear outfits like that one - some of them on my train look way cool!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:17 PM) :

ahh love her

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:15 PM) :

she's outside ordning&reda! i love that shop. and i love her jacket and makeup - grown up while still letting her youth show.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:51 AM) :

Even the way she ties her shoelaces is perfect.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (10:09 AM) :

oh oh oh, what a great outfit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:43 PM) :

jacket is H&M, i've got the same one

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:41 PM) :

RED Lips- Brilliant! I find that people tend to be more fashion forward in the sense that the "dress" for the day vs American who tend to just dress. I also think they don't care about the "label" as much as the cut and fit of a piece- which makes a HUGE difference.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:14 PM) :

I love the shoes. They remind me of my cousins wedding shoes from 1974.

She looks like a doll - Beautiful!

Blogger groovergreen said ... (10:30 PM) :

Oh my. This is the first person I have ever seen in my life who makes black tights work with white shoes ... indeed, who makes white shoes work. Normally this is a horrible combination, especially when done by fashion stylists who ought to know better. Here, it is super cool. What a gorgeous girl. A mini skirt with opaque tights is definitely my all-time favourite look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:18 PM) :

she reminds me of emily watson!

Blogger Pax said ... (9:19 AM) :

At first I thought she was wearing kabuki make-up, but her pallor is so lovely. I also appreciate the knot in her shoelaces and the hemline on her skirt.

Blogger egd.av.Sammex said ... (6:06 PM) :

as beutiful as always melina!

Everything about her is absolutely lovely - her hair, lipstick, skin color, coat. Stockholm should definitely be talked about more often as far as fashion goes.
