What a great touch those suede bucks are, to de-freight all that dark!

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (7:38 AM) :

Masterful sunglasses insertion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:48 AM) :

great guy look!
I love to see men dress manly but with details that show taste and class. Love the scarf!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:59 AM) :

Yummie!

Blogger Butch said ... (8:09 AM) :

Love all about this--well, could do without the "clipped on" glasses, but otherwise it's near perfect. Guy has a great color eye; the cardigan is particularly cherce.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:17 AM) :

Now that's what I call a man wearing clothes, instead of clothes wearing the man. Very handsome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:25 AM) :

I love the the jacket and the shoes. Great background too. Made the subject pop out.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:52 AM) :

Um, wow, is that my new boyfriend?

Love the stylish-yet-casual put-together look. Classic, rugged American male. Love the shoes, and the plaid scarf tucked around his neck.

Most of all, I love the genuinely happy look on his face. (And that he's not all skin and bones!)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 AM) :

I love this look because it reminds me of the sweet, handsome knuckleheads I knew growing up in Massachusetts. They wore lots of layers and old stuff with character. There's a little humor too (glasses and scarf.) Of course, their jeans were genuinely distressed by hard work, but this guy's look is still charming.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:19 AM) :

Merry Christmas to everybody.

A very good 2007.

And much fashion!!

Blogger Alison Santighian said ... (9:22 AM) :

Stunning shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 AM) :

This is a great shot. His look mixes sweetness and masculinity—reminds me of the Japanese casual clothes store 45rpm, on Mercer St. and the UES. I don't allow myself to go in any more.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:56 AM) :

Now THAT's how you wear navy blue! Love the stone suede for super casual. Superb-o. Prep city revitalized.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 AM) :

We've seen this fellow before, haven't we? He has a nice, simple and classic style. And you can't go wrong with a blue gingham shirt. Always looks very handsome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 AM) :

For some reason that just put a whole bunch of things together for me in my own evolution from t-shirts and jeans to a more casual but grown every day.
nice and comfortable and classic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:34 AM) :

Great background.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:35 AM) :

I love the boots!!! Anybody know what kind they are and where to get them? They look like classic Clarks Desert boots but they're not because they lack the crepe outsole.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:57 AM) :

Great casual style - you see this often here in Greece.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:57 AM) :

Minus the scarf consuming this mans head, I really like everything else.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:07 AM) :

That's a wicked sweater taken to a new, youthful/playful level.

And, yes, like the other "play on blue" outfit you shot recently, it really does work.

I wonder if this is a "guy's only" phenomenon?

mltt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:34 AM) :

I don't think you could go wrong in front of that backdrop.

He's good. Not Madison Ave. More Stevedore, but I like it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 PM) :

great background!

in front of that, a guy needs to have more going on than this'un does, no disrespect.

always like to see brown suede shoes w/black pants, I will say.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:26 PM) :

this guy is all shades of hot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:34 PM) :

WOW. Gotta love it. Cute Cute CUTE! This guy's a hottie for sure.

Oh and I love the blue checkered shirt peeking out, and the dark blue jeans with tan shoes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:44 PM) :

Gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:14 PM) :

Yay! Non skinny jeans! I like.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:14 PM) :

Love how the light shirt and bucks contrast with the darks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:50 PM) :

classic and simple....but he obviously is paying attention.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:53 PM) :

love the suede shoes and the blue door..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:09 PM) :

He is handsome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:25 PM) :

He's simply perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:31 PM) :

I like this look--this is not perry como's cardigan!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 PM) :

Gorgeous, just gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:20 PM) :

great. so this is what christmas shoppers from connecticut are wearing on the streets these days. booooring.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:14 PM) :

This dude eats bagels. Nice desert boots, but they're not Clarks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:03 PM) :

Blogger Max said ... (9:00 PM) :

He looks great, and that's all there is to it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:09 PM) :

I love this guy's outfit- all of it. One of the best things is that I could picture him in Seattle. He's so well put together and classy, but there's also a mellow vibe to the whole ensemble.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:10 PM) :

i think the shoes are from jcrew

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:08 PM) :

I think anon 10:10 is right. They are from jcrew. I think they are suede oxfords. Hard to tell if they are desert boots because the leg is covering the top but it looks like the heel from the jcrew oxfords.

Thanks again Sart for giving style freaks a place to converse. Love the pics. What a gift you have! Happy Holidays and here's to a great 2007 filled with style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:26 PM) :

Sart Merry Christmas!!!! Thanks for the gift of your blog! Have a wonderful day!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:07 PM) :

The shoes are from J. Press - http://www.jpressonline.com/accessories_shoes_detail.php?ix=4

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:34 PM) :

Forget the California Wife, How about a MN husband?

He looks like what a million bucks wishes it looked like

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:36 AM) :

this is an awesome shot. he looks great, but the blue door really makes it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:55 PM) :

Good call anon 2:07! I've been eyeing those J. Press Dirty Bucks prior to your post. On sale for $220 now. Sweet post holiday present to myself. Too bad they don't come pre-worn in. LOL!

Blogger albam said ... (5:11 AM) :

The boots are awesome, they look like NDC or something like that. Fantastic look, just really casual.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:58 AM) :

This is what a REAL man should look like. Woof!

I agree with janvangogh, skinny jeans are for women. Ditto for low cut jeans.
