are those pockets on the back of her coat? were there pockets all up and down the front, too? i don't think i've ever seen a coat quite like this before, which is saying something because just about everything comes back around eventually (no pun intended).

It is an interesting coat in a different color. With the coat and high boots I think I'd like a hat.
If we can have all these men with pocket kercheifs then we can have women with smart hats as well.
The woman has got a big bag or package to carry and she's been shot from the back, so perhaps it's not the most flattering perspective.
Oftentimes it's clear the person you're photographing know it's happening. They have an opportunity to straighten themselves and stand up tall -- although many don't!
Clearly upto date with the fall bootie paired with a extra ordinary coat...I'm thinking military inspired ....with pockets on the back which I have noticed on Marine Pea Coats and the metal Grommets on the waist belt.

i wonder if the bottom of the coat zippers off, so that she has the option of a shorter look? if so, i'm obsessed. so chic, so functional.
i like the color of the coat, and the cute pockets....and that's about it. the belt bothers me. i don't know why but there is something about the belt that just....doesn't click
This coat seems a bit... 'ungaputchkad" as my mom would say (in other words: too busy with stuff stuck on in odd places.)
I like the colour though! And boots/tights combo.

I think this is cool. The belt is sort of "bondagey" and the very high heel boots are great.

Offering a round of applause, albeit muted, for this look. The Urban Bolshevik look is always hard to pull off. This coat pays homage to Vivienne Westwood's Fall 2006 line in spirit at least, and could easily have been a Wunderkind seasonal offering. Happy to see this brave girl making a gallant effort and statement for originality.

One would think that this coat would be uncomfortable to wear, surely those pocket flaps would bunch up under one's thighs in a seat...although if "comfort" had been one of this woman's goals she would not have chosen that pair of boots presumably.
Who'd want it? People not afraid of their rear view. Why not throw a little whimsy back there? I got a lot of junk in my trunk and was delighted to find what is essentially a bustle skirt. I'm wearing it today!
The boots are this season Pradas. They're beautiful and incredibly comfortable. They come in both a slightly rounded toe and a pointier one but different stores seem to carry only one or the other style.
I very much like this coat - but would like it more if the belt were cinched to give it more shape.

A very cool shot, Sart. Was there a possibility of a frontal shot too? Seeing her entire look would have been really interesting. The coat, the tights, and boots ... all wonderful! The one exception I'd make: The horizontal seam on the coat just below her posterior is way unflattering. If you view the photo while holding a finger horizontally to obsure that seam, you'll see how instantly the coat's lines improve, creating a slimming effect.
