Does anyone know who this scarf is by, it is the second person i've seen in it...love the print

I have the same gigantic bag!

About "ethnic" scarfs: they add a level of depth to those who wear them: tricking cultural perceptions...
Bags have the same function in terms of status.
This bag is still so low profile in the public eye that makes it attractive for me.

Her scarf is too much.

love the loudness of the scarf vs the quietness of everything else and androgyny is always welcome

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 PM) :

i'm 99% sure that the scarf is from virginia johnson, who illustrated the kate spade books. her website is virginiajohnson.com, lots of great, simple prints.

the camel print scarf is adorable! I love how she combined such a light scarf with dark clothing - it works!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:52 PM) :

Where can I find that bag?
Because I really like it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:55 PM) :

i love how natural the style is to her.....not trying hard, not forced. however, i am not convinced on the white socks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:37 PM) :

oh, I loooooooove this.

anna corinna

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:13 AM) :

You can find the bag @ shopbop.com
it is an Anna Corinna handbag $(396)
The bag is really big.

Love the scarf. Hate the white socks. The socks detract from the overall look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:21 AM) :

Yup. The scarf is definitely Virginia Johnson (www.virginiajohnson.com), and it comes in a ton of lovely patterns and colors.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

it's funny, the first thing i noticed were the socks, not the carf... Although i don't like white socks in this case they makes a nice black and white look, with the ballerinas.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:41 AM) :

i love it.

Warning: broad sweeping comments about to be made, which may provoke urges to respond vehemently, whether pro, or con. White socks with black shoes and black pants...it's very "un-American" in taste. Looks goofy. Well, at least it did to me, til a Swiss man explained that to Europeans it expresses "cleanliness". Anyone else ever had a "white socks" conversation across cultural boundaries?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:18 AM) :

I think this girl has a perfect perception of her general features and prefers to be incisive than pleasant to look at.. white socks could have been a pain in the neck but matching those two little white spots with that giant scarf in the general plainliness of the outfit and of the haircut just makes her REALLY interesting and mid-european style. she is someone who understood perfectly the meaning of the suggestion -hide your fault for what you can, show what remains as qualities- or something like it. understatement with a rock flavour!

way cool scarf

I think the scarf and white socks are adorable on her..
