Is it back?!

the cut of the blazer is just great, and there is something in the patch too. However I think, black and indigo or navy as a combination is rightly described as the color of the carapace of a dumb fly. No offense, just the color

i hope not.

no need to look like you just got back from a three hour tour of gilligans island.

T-o-o-l. Who wears this anymore (outside of a member at a bad country club c.1970)?

Blogger The Sartorialist said ... (4:37 PM) :

C-O-O-L , it is spelled with a "C",

and by "bad", you mean cool?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:43 PM) :

What about Season and Place? Doesn't that matter anymore?
Unless this guy just stepped off his yacht, I think this is the wrong outfit, however beautiful it may be.

Blogger The Sartorialist said ... (5:08 PM) :

I was a little surprised by his outfit also but this was a Ralph Lauren fashion show so he very well may have just jumped off his yacht and will be sailing back to Bermuda after the show. fashion, you gotta love it!

Too Thurston Howell looking for Lovey for my tastes. I certainly don't dress like that when I sail, but to each his own...

This guy has a great ironic take..red guccis, crest and all. It's the dead of winter...obviously he has a clue...Irony takes such a beating on this site.....he knows it's contrived.. but what great attitude. He doesn't let the "look" turn into costume. And he straddles the line...if he had a pipe or a skippers hat..I would say..Fool. that's an F not a C.

and..this is the last thing this guy would wear while on the water. I mean..please.

There are a number of folks pictured here with white pants...in winter. It seems that white pants were once a summer only thing. Am I mistaken? After looking at this site I started looking for white pants in the stores.

Fleet week came early this year? It is just too cold for that ensemble.
